This place is ideal for quiet holidays with family or friends.

Located at the north coast of Crete, close to the small sea-side resort of Georgioupolis, between Chania and Rethymno, 500 m from a long sand beach and 2 km from the Kournas Lake, this recent house (2007), has lovely view to the Leuka Ori mountains and to the Aegean sea.

Georgioupolis' Beach (within walking distance) is a 9 km long sand beach which offers wide-open spaces. It is an uncrowded beach, even in the summer time ! All along the beach, you can find snacks and tavernas which offer not only cheap and good local food but also a lot of (most of the time) free services such as sun beds, umbrellas, WC, showers, play grounds, etc.

The Kournas Lake is the only sweet water lake in Crete. In this beautiful area you can observe the turtles, rent a pedal-boat, swim or enjoy the local food in one of the tavernas with a spectacular view on the lake.

The village of Georgioupolis is located 2 km west. It is a small sea-side resort characterized by its small charming fishing port, its river and its eucalyptus trees. There, you will find small shops, small supermarkets, small hotels, bars, tavernas, pizzerias, etc. In spite of tourism, the village kept its old charm and its authenticity.

The village of Kavros is located 1,5 km east. Big seafront hotels are predominant but you can also find small shops, supermarkets, bars, tavernas, pizzerias, etc.

The place will delight guests looking for quiet seaside holidays, walks or bicycle rides in the cretan country (through the olive trees) and mountain.

relaxing holiday
We had a lovely and relaxing stay at the property. The whole complex is maintained very well, it is comfortable and spacious. The ground floor patio is secluded from the pool area with some plants that gives some privacy. We stayed at the end of June so it was very quiet, we had the whole pool to ourselves. The location of the complex is very good with a short drive to local amenities and close by villages. However, without a car it would be too far to walk to the beach, especially with children. If you have a car you can more to different beach bars with wide, sandy beaches. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Super. Ein kleines, sonniges Zuhause auf Kreta
Wir haben zwei tolle Wochen in diesem kleinen Haus verbracht. Es war wunderbar, wie ein kleines Zuhause und wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Sowohl der Kontakt vorab als auch die Abwicklung vor Ort waren perfekt organisiert, der Kontakt mit den Hausbesitzern unkompliziert und sehr freundlich. Bei einem kleinen Problem mit dem WLAN vor Ort wurde in kürzester Zeit geholfen. Bei der Anfahrt hat uns Navi uns in die falsche Straße geführt hat. Unser Tipp: Haus auf Google-Maps auswählen (geht auf der Satellitenansicht ganz einfach, ggf. schon vorab Offline-Karten runterladen) und dann die Route dorthin berechnen lassen. Das Haus ist in sehr gutem Zustand, alles sehr sauber und wie in der Anzeige beschreiben. Privater, schattiger Parkplatz direkt vor der Tür. Für uns besonders erfreulich: die Utensilien in der Küche waren tatsächlich ausreichend, um für 4 hungrige Personen eine ausreichende Mahlzeit zu kochen - das haben wir auch schon anders erlebt. Genial der riesengroße Kühlschrank und der Eisschrank, in dem schon etliche Kühlpacks bereitliegen. Bitte dran denken, selbst Küchenhandtücher mitzubringen - hatten wir vergessen. Da man sich meistens im Freien aufhält: die Terrasse und der angrenzende Pool (den man sich mit 5 weiteren Häusern teilt) waren ebenfalls top. Auf der Terrasse sitzt man nah am Pool, hat aber wegen der Begrünung noch immer seinen privaten Bereich. Der Pool ist sauber (wird jeden Tag gereinigt), das Wasser hat angenehme Temperatur und auch spät am Abend kann er noch genutzt werden. Durch die Lage der Anlage sind sowohl Retymno als auch Chania sehr gut per Auto zu erreichen. Auch der Süden, (Preveli, Chora sfakion) ist noch in annehmbarer Zeit anzufahren. Zum Strand gibt es leider keinen offiziellen Weg in Luftlinie (sonst wären das 500 m) - dazwischen liegt ein umzäunter Olivenhain (manchmal ist die Tür im Zaun aber auch offen). So muss man ein wenig außen rum laufen, ist aber machbar, wenn man nicht allzu viel Gepäck hat. Zwei kleine Anregungen mögen bei so viel Lob erlaubt sein: Die Glastür zur Terrasse im 1. OG wird vormittags sehr sehr heiß. Wenn hier mal die Gelegenheit besteht, ein Rollo außen anzubringen, würde das sicher auch die Temperatur im Inneren des Hauses etwas reduzieren. Die Holz-Stühle auf der Terrasse sind zwar sehr schön, nach ein paar Tagen aber unbequem für den Rücken. Kissen oder eine Auflage wären eine tolle Ergänzung. Damit aber erst einmal vielen Dank an unsere Vermieter!!!

En septembre c'est parfait
Logement très bien agencé et propre. Principe de clé déposée dans un coffre extérieur génial : pas d'attente. Emplacement pas trop éloigné de la ville et au calme. Tout ce qu'il faut pour faire un peu de cuisine. Piscine largement assez grande pour tous et très bien entretenue tous les matins quoique un peu froide fin septembre. Manque juste une petite couverture de lits pour les nuits un peu fraîche de fin septembre.

Entspannter Urlaub auf Kreta
Wir verbrachten vom 08.07. bis 19.07.2018 einen wundervollen Urlaub in diesem Ferienhaus. Die Ausstattung des Ferienhauses ist super, vor Allem die Küche. Uns hat es hier für den Urlaub an nicht gefehlt. Obwohl es sich hier um eine Ferienanlage mit vielen Häusern handelt, war es angenehm ruhig (auch abends). Den Pool hatten wir fast immer für uns alleine. Mit dem Auto ist man in 5 min. am Meer und kann direkt bis zum Sandstrand fahren und dort parken. Für Unternehmungen nach Chania oder Rethymno ist Georgioupoli ein super Ausgangspunkt. Ein kleines Manko gibt es allerdings. Die Stühle auf der Terasse sind nicht bequem. Man kann nicht lange auf ihnen sitzen. Deswegen auch nur 4 Sterne. Trotzdem können wir das Ferienhaus mit gutem Gewissen weiterempfehlen und kommen selbst auch gerne wieder.

Sehr erholsame Ferien mit vielen Ausflugsmöglichkeiten
Zentral und doch nicht direkt im Trubel haben wir dieses Ferienhaus als perfektes Domizil empfunden, um zu entspannen und gleichzeitig die schönen Ausflugsziele Kretas zu erreichen. Die Anlage besteht aus terrassenförmig angelegten Reihenhäusern, von denen sich jeweils sechs einen Pool teilen. Wir hatten unseren im September für uns allein. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet und hat einen Carport, eine Terrasse und zusätzlichen einen großen Balkon. In wenigen Minuten ist man mit dem Auto am Strand oder bei den naheliegenden Geschäften, kann aber gleichzeitig die Abgeschiedenheit der ruhig gelegenen Wohnanlage genießen. Für uns war die Lage auch ein perfekter Startpunkt für zahlreiche Wanderungen, z.B. durch die Samaria-Schucht oder entlang der Südküste, die man in einer Dreiviertelstunde Fahrzeit erreicht, oder für die Besichtigung der Städte Chania oder Rethymno. Wir wurden die gesamte Zeit über und bei jedem Anliegen von unserer Vermieterin extrem gut betreut, sodass wir jederzeit wieder kommen würden. Für eine Kombination aus Erholung und Erlebnissen war dieses Haus optimal!

Très beau séjour !!!
Nous avons été enchantés par notre séjour dans votre villa. Très bien située et très confortable. La piscine est géniale ! Nous avons pu découvrir ainsi l'ouest de l'île , des paysages montagneux jusqu'aux lagons aux eaux turquoises Gramvoussa et Elafonissi : magnifique ! Chania, Réthymnon, Arkadi, moni preveli avec sa plage de palmiers, les gorges d'Imbros ... Sans oublier, les restaurants conseillés par vos soins; un vrai délice, tout particulièrement Georgia et le poséidon , mhmmm De très belles vacances !!!
