"Staff at the front desk were amazing Nick and Cassie are the best. We travel frequently and these are two of the best! Room was clean and comfortable. The indoor pool was fantastic. We walked to downtown although a trolley stops right in front of the hotel. Coffee and breakfast in the morning is extra at the onsite restaurant. Open for dinner too. Log Cabin Pancake House is a short walk down the street. Overall a great location."

"Really enjoyed my stay. The check-in process was a bit of a challenge. Used the kiosk which worked & gave me my keys, but there was no information about the hotel, property, or amenities given. Had to go down to front desk later that night as my phone was not operational in the room. Other than that, really beautiful facility with everything you need."

"We spent the night at Read House on our way home from SC. I had read about the hotel and it's resident ghost in the past, so ....of course, we had to stay! The hotel is one of the most beautiful that I have stayed in. The history of the site is an added bonus. We took a tour of room 311 and had the most engaging guide. I totally recommend a stay at this hotel!! You must explore the hotel and the grounds along with a tour of 311. Our room was beautiful, the bed super comfy, and the staff amazing. Can't wait to stay there again."
