Hotel is centrally located and has parking right in front of the hotel for free for an hour or there is a parking lot a block away that costs about 4 CHF for a day using the EasyPark app which for some reason was about half the cost of paying at the machine.

The Appenzell area is a gorgeous rural area with phenomenal scenery. The hotel and town are traditional Swiss architecture with a very welcoming atmosphere. The staff was friendly and the rooms comfortable. This was our favorite area in Switzerland 🇨🇭.

Nice hotel, in the middle of the town. The last night it was some kind of festival and they had a concert/dj playing until 02 in the morning! No warning or heads up about that. I could not sleep until the party was over. It was so loud, just 500meters away from our bedroom window!!

Schöner Kurzaufenthalt

Das Personal ist ausgesprochen freundlich, das Zimmer sehr sauber und ruhig. Badezimmer ehler klein aber funktional. Das Frühstück einfach genial und das Essen im eigenen Restaurant ebenfalls sehr fein. Der Fernseher (in unserem Zimmer) ist seitlich vom Bett ungünstig platziert. Preis insgesamt eher hoch.

Nie wieder!

Wir hatten zwei Nächte gebucht. Einen Tag vor Reiseantritt wurde ich positiv auf Corona getestet. Umgehend haben wir das Hotel informiert und Sie telefonisch gebeten, uns evt. einen Gutschein auszustellen bzw. das Arrangement zu verschieben. Leider war null Kulanz zu erwarten. Wir mussten die erste Nacht trotzdem bezahlen mit der Info, wir können das Geld ja vom Versicher zurückfordern… Unter Gastlichkeit verstehe ich etwas anders! Lieber eine Nacht abkassieren anstatt das Arrangement zu verschieben und zwei zufriedene Gäste gewinnen. Schade eigentlich, scheinen nicht auf neue Gäste angewiesen zu sein!

Unser Wunsch-Aufenthalt (inkl. Datenverschiebung um zwei Tage) ging reibungslos über die Bühne. Kompliment an Frau Soder Empfang
Sehr freundlich und herzlich. Wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt. Manko, es hatte keinen Lift zu unserem Zimmertrakt. Es wurde uns aber eine Gepäcktragehilfe angeboten. Zimmer
Sauber und gepflegt. Mit Minibar, TV etc.. Die Einrichtung ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, hat aber aus diesem Grund einen gewissen Charme. Einzige Mankos die erwähnenswert sind: Garderobe und Kleiderkasten sind zu klein, wenn zwei Personen über eine Woche in diesem Zimmer logieren. Das Badezimmer ist optimal eingerichtet, hat aber keine Dusche, sondern noch eine Badewanne. Der Einstieg ist nicht unproblematisch. Eine kleine, einstufige Einstiegshilfe erleichtert zwar den Einstieg, aber man muss wirklich aufpassen, dass man nicht ausrutscht. Also, unbedingt eine Gummimatte verlangen. Die Einstiegshilfe hat sich ausserdem als ideale Stolperfalle entpuppt.Während unseres Aufenthaltes hat sich im übrigen herausgestellt, dass zeitweise das Zimmer nach Zigarettenrauch und Abgasen «duftet» und die Warenanlieferungen um 06:30h morgens waren auch nicht gerade ein Highlight. Schlichtweg lärmig.Restaurant
schöne, gemütliche Einrichtung, sowohl im Parterre, wie auch im 1. Stock. Das Essen war durchzogen, Teigwaren mit Käse lauwarm / Keine Insektengitter, Wespen beim Frühstück! Lage sehr gut, Service ebenfalls sehr gut.

schönes Appenzell

Ich habe meinen 2 Nächte Aufenthalt genossen. Am ersten Abend meinte die Bedienung dass eine Reservation auf der Terasse fürs Nachtessen nicht nötig sein .... und dann hatte es keinen Platz. Das hat mich schon etwas verärgert. Für den 2. Abend habe ich auf einer Reservation bestanden und es waren an diesem, einem Montagabend, alle Tische reserviert. Sonst war alles gut für mich.
