"The service is absolutely disgusting! I booked and paid for a room at this hotel. I drove 4 hours to get here so I could hike in Yorkshire dales early in the morning. Once I got there I was told that they never received my booking. I had the recipt and confirmation email but they refused to acknowledge it. The woman I spoke to on the phone who worked there was rude to me. She asked my name and then told me that a person with my name had already checked in. This was a lie because she had clearly misheard what I had said and told me 'Janice' had checked in. My name is Joanna. Then she said "oh, well they have the same surname as you". She told me to go across the road and try them because they do not have a room for me now. I had to go through Expedia to get my refund (in 7-10 days) then try and find somewhere to stay last minute. I was lucky to find somewhere as I almost had to sleep in my car. I was shocked and appalled at how cold and sharp this woman was to me. She even got annoyed when I had called back and told me "I have already spoken to you, what do you want?". I suffer from severe anxiety and this has been detrimental to my mental health. I would highly recommend anyone to stay away from this hotel if you do not want to be disappointed and ripped off."
