"The owners/staff were very nice and helpful. They promoted the local restaurants, one of which I dined. The hotel was clean, upgraded. Little noisy with room doors slamming (they did not lock quickly like normal doors so patrons slammed them without knowing they would engage in a short time period). ..."

"My stay was good. Room and bathroom were in great shape. The outside of the hotel needs a little TLC though. It is showing its age some but the inside was great."

I am not sure what we expected....but probably we thought there would be more people visiting the historical sites, being it was a summer weekend. It was very easy to get around and the people were nice. It was a great weekend of food and history !

We dined at the Rail Way for dinner & LOVED it. It is a local, no frills place with surprisingly EXCELLENT food. The service was a little slow, but friendly & attentive. The sirloin was easily the best I've had in a LONG time. Yummy comfort food!
