Bklyn House

"Family of 4 from Scotland stayed a week here. Easy travel from subway to and from hotel and to everywhere in Manhatten. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was basic but fine for us all to rest our heads. Area around isnt the best however felt safe and people were friendly."

Quality Inn JFK Airport Rockaway Blvd

"Perfect space if you need a bed near the airport. The fact the phones didn't work at federal circle worried us but a call to the reception (even late in the night) was all it needed to sort out the shuttle logistics. Comfortable beds, clean and safe place, nothing special, exactly what we needed for 5hours of sleep."

"It's definitely in the ghetto. But it's far rockaway what do you expect. It's a decent place in a less than decent part of town."

"The staff were very patient and helpful despite being inundated by many passengers whose flights had been cancelled. The room was clean and comfortable. We were very happy with our experience."

"The woman at check in said she would come get me when the room was ready, as I was waiting in the cafe area, but she never came, so I sat from 11 am to 4pm. Maybe my room was ready earlier than 4pm, but I wouldn't know. So then I had to stand in line again and the woman who was to wait on me, merely looked at me. I had to figure out I should step forward, as her personality seems to be shy and awkward to speak. The lady at the cafe in the evening spoke very softly with an accent that I had no idea what she was saying so I didn't order. Then in the morning, the shuttle driver was a smart ass when answering my question if the ride was free, hey it's NYC, who knows. He replied that it was $100, presumable as a joke or sarcasm, but with out a smile, correction, or context, it was an odd moment. Then as I supervised him putting my luggage in the back, he told me to go in the bus. But only two weeks ago, an Uber driver left one of my suitcases at the pick up area, thus leaving it as the airport, and then a few months ago, my backpack never made it to my destination from an Uber guy too, resulting in $7,000 in losses. When I told the driver this was why I was waiting to be sure my luggage made it into the bus, he replied, "So you want me to leave your bag on the street?" He was odd, and strange energy, so I pulled my luggage off the bus and opted to pay for a cab in order to get away from him. Although the room was good for a night, I would not return."
