"A very comfortable stay for us on a road trip. The property is located in the mountains, about 30-45 minutes to the coastline where all the actions are. Rooms were very clean and spacious. We had rooms that overlook the ski lifts. We went during the quiet season so there was limited dining options. It is a huge property with lots of attractions and we could imagine the buzz in the peak seasons. There was no air-conditioning in the rooms during our stay but the staff brought in electric fans which did the job. A nice stay after all."

"Singaporean family of 6, hard to fault anything. Most staff can speak basic English and attention is rendered to all appopriately, young and old. Onsen has different pool and some are not just warm enough for young kids to soak and enjoy. Food great Sleep mattress is Beauty Rest, futon might be alittle too thin for me but good for all kids. "

"It was a great place to stay. Traditional tatami floors. 10 minute walk to the ski slopes. We didn't use the shuttle bus at all. Easy walk to local restaurants and shopping. Staff were amazing and friendly. Very helpful and accommodating to our needs."

Everyone was so kind and went above and beyond making our 4 night stay an epic ski week experience of a lifetime. We made new friends and had everything, and more even, than we needed. "My wife and I enjoyed our 3-night stay at hotel Taiko. The hotel employees were extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel is only a short walk to the kumado ski base. The hotel pickup drop off service was great. We gave the hotel our train’s arrival time and the driver met us with a van when the train arrived! No waiting in the cold! We liked how our hotel room was extremely clean. The included breakfast buffet was excellent too. Almost all the hotel staff we spoke to could also speak English. Would definitely recommend Hotel Taiko. "
