"When I arrived at the property, despite me canceling my previous reservation, they were confused as they saw two reservations, and even after me showing that I had canceled it, they still gave me a hard time. They should have better communication with the booking agency so that this does not happen to someone else in future. The room was OK but nothing spectacular. Definitely not a five star hotel by any means ."

"We stayed Moi Dambulla for 3 days. It was such a beautiful and peaceful stay. Its also really close to the Golden temple and can get to Sigirya easily. The staff members were excellent and went above and beyond. The place is very clean, I wasn’t keeping well on the day of checkout and the staff very kindly let us checkout late because of me. They also cooked us meals. Erande, the manager I believe and the staff were really great, we definitely recommend the stay. "

"The resort is set back from a busy road in a fabulous nature setting. Beware that 20 out of the 26 "rooms" are tents and only 6 are solid built cottages. If you want a glamping style close to nature experience then the tents are fabulous. If you want to have more privacy go for the cottages, which are very large and beautiful. Staff was extremely helpful. As we were few people breakfast and dinner options were limited but very tasty. Excellent option for a luxury stay in thw dambulla triangle."

Host was exceptional kind and helped navigate the space and surrounding areas during our first visit to Sigriya. Breakfast was also delicious. Wished that we could have stayed longer. "The staff were amazing and went above and beyond. They offered tips and always wanted to help to give us the best stay. The breakfast was incredible, there was a huge variety include rotors, fruit, pancakes, hoppers smoothies and curried dishes. The rooms were lovely with a ‘jungle feel’ with the well planted garden that the verandas looked over, complete with swings and regular seating for relaxing. This is 100% on the return list-i can’t recommend it highly enough."

"Pleasant stay at Pothana Village, the highlight was definitely the pool and staff. The room was decent, but the bathroom could do with some upgrades. There was a gecko in the room and a couple of bugs, but given the properties location it’s to be expected. I think other reviews have been abit overly critical of this, but the location is right by a lake. Loved watching the peacocks roaming around, some monkeys and all of the friendly dogs. Staff were really friendly and accommodating, always smiling and hospitable."

The staff was very hospitable, the amenities were great, lication of the hotel relative to the touristy attractions was fantastic, breakfast was on point, room was decent sized and clean too. Gave us nothing to complain about. 10/10 and would highly recommend."

"This is a beautiful peaceful forest resort nestled in a rural forest like area not too far from Sigiriya fort, Dambulla cave temple and Minneriya national park, which were the three attractions we saw in the area. The resort has a great spread of both international and local options breakfast and dinner buffet on weekdays and lunch buffet too on Fridays and Saturdays. A la carte menu is limited but sufficient and we'll prepared. The chefs, hotel staff and management are very sweet people and are very attentive to your needs. The rooms are spacious with large bathrooms. Very comfortable beds. AC wasn't great in one of our rooms but they promptly serviced it and made it better. The open air pools are fantastic and has a nature pond feel to it. Water is not too chlorinated either and is very refreshing to swim. Truly enjoyed this relaxing hideaway in Dambulla for the three nights we stayed there. Would recommend!"

" 10/10. The hotel is VERY clean and you can see they work really hard to make sure of that. Our host was very helpful, booking a trip for us to see a cultural dance and organising our transport/negotiating a good price for the journey for us. Very nice breakfast too. Would 100% recommend staying here."
