Got to United only to find there was no room available ( one i had book 2 months in advance)..Had booking references Numbers and whats more ..i actually rang the hotel 2 minutes after i had made the booking ( just to confirm) and they said yes all is fine?? After a 45 minute wait while staff located us a room we had somewhere to stay..( myself and my two sons) one of which was flying out...

"The most disappointing thing about this place was the bathroom facilities. There was mould everywhere in the shower - up the walls, on the ceiling. The shower curtain looked liked it hadn't been changed in decades...it was scary to touch. The place also smelled of cigarettes....not very pleasant. While it is a hostel, I have certainly stayed in better hostels both in Auckland and major cities around the world. By far the worst hostel I have stayed in."

"Lovely and helpful staff, comfortable beds. Felt surprisingly private. The shared spaces were spacious, comfortable and lovely. They have a “quiet” room which was highly appreciated. It felt new, fresh and cozy. The kitchen could get pretty messy but the staff tried their best to keep it clean. I felt like I got a lot of value for the money."

"This hostel was well situated, allowing us to walk to nearby towns for meals, the beach, and even the ferry. Accommodations were simple and clean, offering us everything we needed."

"We booked this property because it was a handy location, unfortunately we had also booked it because it said we could have 3 separate beds and because I was booking it for 3 students that didn't really know each other it was appropriate they have their own beds. I have just been told they were only provided with a double and single bed. This has put me in a rather awkward position. They were not confident to ask for this to be changed."
