"This place is like one out of a fairytale. Most spacious! The property owner cooked amazing l meals and brought them to the room herself! They are wonderful people to meet! There are so many places within walking distance to see and enjoy in the area. The people who lived on the island are so very kind and gracious! Absolutely stunning home! Full of jacobite history for those Outlander fans! It was the best vacation i could have ever wished for!"

"You are staying on a boat on land however it was modernised with flushing toilets and hot water and heating. Hosts Lynette and Angus were lovely and could not do enough for us, loved our welcome treats and nice touches throughout the boat. Perfect for a couple with medium size dog. Would give Hope to be back again. Thank you for the amazing stay "

"Our third holiday on Bute, it's such a great place. We all love jumping in the sea and digging on Ettrick Bay! The lounge at Kildavannan is just lovely, so warm and amazing views as you sit in the window seats."

"The cottage is lovely. Just perfect to wind down and relax. We were in the area for a family wedding & were only there for the weekend but it was lovely to sit in the sun room for beakfast and just chill. I would love to go back for a longer stay."

"The Shelduck cottage is a excellent base for exploring this scenic part of Scotland. Easy access to the Ferries to Bute/ Tarbert and Dunoon ..Andrew , our host was very helpful and made our stay memorable.We used a wheelchair and his concrete ramp was ideal for entering and leaving this spacious property. Would recommend this quiet location overlooking loch Riddon. "

"Very nice, nice cottage. Water and plants everywhere, could use some gravel on the driveway. This was disclosed in the information, but going slowly was the ticket. Washer and dryer was great we stayed for a week and with a load we were ready for the next stay. Being 70 liked the fact of no stairs."

"We arrived in the dark and took a minute to realise that the cottage was up a short path. Once in we found it warm and welcoming with lots of homely touches. Everything we needed was there. I was an excellent base from which to explore the local area with superb, less visited hills nearby."

"This cottage has been beautifully renovated to a high spec, and the hosts haven't skimped on things like cutlery or pans. It's great to stay in and can easily be more than just a place to sleep. Strachur is small but spread out, and this cottage is more or less opposite the village shop, so really convenient, and it's easy to find and park at. "Our stay was amazing , the location was ideal and the surroundings are scenic , the condition of cabin was ideal , lovely and clean on arrival , only suggestion would be a path to the fire pit area, may have just been heavy rainfall before arrival but the ground was very marshy and kept getting foot stuck in Ground due to this , overall great place and very friendly hosts and very accommodating, great place highly recommend "
