"The Kames hotel is in fabulous location overlooking Bute and a great base for exploring. We spent a week here and still so much to see. The hotel is lovely blend of old and modern - rooms were spotlessly clean, comfortable and well furnished. We are each night in the restaurant and enjoyed great variety of delicious meals . The owner and staff are warm, welcoming and friendly. Our dog was made welcome too! "

"A classic Scottish Castle Hotel. Friendly and helpful staff and gorgeous surroundings. Wildlife on your doorstep. Rooms show some evidence of age (if you are picky about stuff like that), but it's an old Scottish Castle hotel... You want it to feel like an old Scottish Castle, don't you, and it absolutely does.

The flat is great with everything you need and we felt really comfortable and at home for our long weekend.Elderly dad managed the one flight up to the flat no problem and handy having the bus stop right outside too.Great flat and host so will be our new holiday flat going forward.
