"The beautiful house is located in a very quiet corner of the idyllic island. The view from the terraces or from the rooms of the nearby sea is stunning. The kitchen is well equipped, there is even a great grill and the wing-like arrangement of the bedrooms, each with a bathroom and dressing room, makes a lot of sense. "Don't be fooled by the advert. It's not what it seemed. We visited late December, 4 adults and 2 small kids. We had great expectations; large villa, hot tub for the grandchildren to play in. Unfortunately the tub didn't work and looked aged, had a very sharp tap pointing into the tub, the deck became very slippery when it rained and there was no protection on the back of the deck to prevent accidental falls, especially by the kids playing. "We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 week stay at the Sugar House at the Old Fort Estate. The setting is gorgeous and the history is fascinating. The grounds were fun to explore, the pool delightful to swim in and read by, and the Sugar House, with its cooling breezes and beautiful views, lovely to come home to each day. The 2 suites were perfect for 2 couples. Quirin and Sarah were very helpful in advance and throughout our stay."
