"This is an old hotel, and it has been around for a while. Therefore, it was not new and modern; which is no problem for me. It was quiet, most of the time. There was some passing traffic occasionally and I train whistle on a couple of occasions, but, for me, reasonable. As for shopping: there is a grocery store, a gas station, a pizza parlor all within walking distance as well as an attractive swimming area nearby. I got a good nights sleep, which is why I stayed there."

The kitchen was exceedingly well-equipped and the bathroom included lots of small niceties, including soft and fluffy towels. Wendy has put a great deal of thought and effort in making sure that guests have everything they need and that they feel 100% welcome. Rufus is conveniently located 45 minutes East of the Hood River / White Salmon area, and near to the Maryhill Museum of Art. We look forward to visiting again."
