We had a suite, which was nice. The door was dirty, the room was good but the bed wasn't super comfortable. The door to get to the little deck around, the seal was gone and didn't really close. The restaurants were good. Loved the bar. We had an amazing bartender, Aspen. She was the highlight of the stay. The pool was DIRTY. Its almost like they dont have a bottom cleaner. The build up on the bottom of the pools deterred us from even using the pool. Overall, we wouldn't to back. But if we go back to okiboji, we would go to the restaurant and bar.

The rooms were nice we had a 2 bedroom with bunk beds. However we did not have a patio or balcony which was disappointing. Kitchenette with microwave and small fridge and a bar sink. Room did not have blackout drapes and sink in bathroom did not drain. It’s ridiculous that you have to pay extra for the “waterpark” which is not kept up. Caution tape in multiple spots. Water in outdoor pool was ice cold. Needs a good cleaning and some TLC. Outdoor spa was the temp the pool should have been. $28 for a day pass per person is crazy when the pool is not even useable unless you want an ice bath. It was 90 degrees the day we were there so a working pool would have been nice.

I’ve stayed here twice now and it was good. Rooms are comfortable. The coffee maker didn’t work which was disappointing with so few options in the area to get coffee in the morning. Other than that the stay was great with great food option onsite for dinner at the Waterfront grill.

We recently stayed at the resort during a family trip to Okoboji. When we arrived, we were able to check in and start using the swimming pools, which the kids were excited about. However, we were disappointed to find out that our room only included two pool passes, even though our reservation was for a family of five. We had to pay additional fees for our three children to use the pool. I really feel like this is something that should be made much clearer to families before booking, as we were not expecting the extra expense. The outdoor pool was also extremely cold—so cold that it really wasn’t enjoyable to swim in. Thankfully, the indoor pool was great, and the kids enjoyed that much more. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of our room was another major disappointment. There was dirt and grime on the walls and floors, and the ceiling fan had what looked like years of dust built up on it. The room definitely needed a much more thorough cleaning. We also had issues with the TVs not working the way they were supposed to, which added to the frustration. Overall, I think the resort has potential, especially for families, but there are definitely areas that need improvement. Being more upfront about the number of pool passes included with each room, improving room cleanliness and maintenance, and addressing the outdoor pool temperature would make a big difference. Okoboji itself is a beautiful area and a very nice place to visit. We enjoyed the town and our family time there.

Liked: the room was nice and clean as expected when we arrived. The staff: was never seen in my building. Dislikes: We noticed piles of towels and garbage bags outside of each of the rooms so immediately came to understand there would probably be no housekeeping. We went to the building where you check in and had to get our own towels to replenish used ones. Amenities: the Bogi Splash water park pool was great but the outdoor pool was overcrowded and was kind of dirty looking in the pool. We thought we had free passes for our family and only got 2. We asked what the best deal would be for 5 of us on day 1 and they said it’s all the same for everyone over 4. On day 2 I noticed a sign outside of the door as you go in that anyone 55+ got in with a discount of approximately $10. When we went on day 2 and asked about this they agreed that would have been a better deal and when we asked about getting a partial refund for day 1 they gave a run around of having to talk to a supervisor, then their credit card machine was not working properly to issue credit, then they would have someone call us. Day 3 we checked out with no call back. Day 4 I called and talked to 2 more people and one of them remembered the prior conversation and said she would have her mgr call us back. Day 6….nobody has returned a call. Poor customer service regarding this matter.
