"I made the reservation in the afternoon of the date I wanted to stay. Some time after making the reservation I called to ask how to check-in given that it said there is no front desk and I didn't receive any instructions. I was told in German they are fully booked, despite having a confirmed reservation (and the hotels.com website having several rooms there). I asked how can it be and was told that if I want to speak with someone in English I should call again in 0.5-1 hours. I called more than once again and there was no response. I had to make a last-minute late booking elsewhere, spend time on these phone calls, and then spend time to get a refund for the room I didn't get. If I didn't call but instead drove there assuming a confirmed reservation suffices, I guess I would find no one, no room, and be in a late hour where available rooms elsewhere, if exist at all (many places close their check-in early), and require a long drive on narrow roads in the darkness and pay much more. "This place is an attached apartment to the VRBO owner’s home. It’s a little difficult to locate, but the owners were quick to respond and help us out. The rental looked just like the photos. It was very clean.We spent most of our days out with our friends we were visiting, so we were really only used this as a location to sleep. Beds were comfortable, though it would have been nice to have an extra pillow for those of us who like to prop up a bit more when sleeping - otherwise it was a quiet and comfortable place. "
