"The hotel is absolutely beautiful & well maintained in every detail. Kudos to the gardening staff for the magnificent surroundings bathed in the scent of jasmine. Spa experience (massage & facial) was excellent. My lake view superior room was lovely, clean. I’d think twice before staying here again for 1 reason: the sub-standard food. We dined at Il Borromeo 3 times & none of our dishes were hot nor prepared as ordered. They came out of the kitchen too quickly after ordering so we gathered they were pre-made. One night we ordered Wagyu steaks, medium rare. They were thin cut, served COLD & medium well; vegetables & sauce also stone cold. Sent them back & received well done meat. Sent that back & ordered the tagliata steaks, medium rare …got medium. The cacio e pepe was lukewarm, veal without flavor. The carbonara was also lukewarm & sticky rather than creamy. Bread was hard & lacked flavor. As for the breakfast served in Il Borromeo all the various croissants were dry (so disappointing). The lone bright spot for dining is Le Bistrot — the poolside snack bar! Great food there. Other small things need work: water bottles not replaced during our 4 day stay, no mint at turndown is odd for a 5-star, CNN not working even though we reported it twice. At check in Reception did not have a record of my pre-booked spa appointment & said *I* should call the spa to confirm. (Umm, no, that’s your job, Sir.) Restaurant staff more concerned about breaking down tables than serving guests."

"Come here if you'd like to find out what great Italian home cooking tastes like. We had two diners here, and regret we didn't have more. The minestrone soup, lasagna and aubergine Parm are so fresh and refreshing, even though I'm used to the great Italian restaurants in Manhattan and Brooklyn. It's nice to have a comforting dinner overlooking the lake, after a day of sight seeing, and finishing with home made apple cake and ice cream or rum with chocolate."

"EN:We received a very warm welcome and felt very comfortable. We got a Prosecco as welcome present.The appartement was very clean and nothing missing. Mariella and her husband took great care that our stay was pleasent.The appartement is located on the ground floor in a quiet residential area. The name of the house is real correct, jasmine was booming everywhere in the garden.We would gladly return and we highly recommend this accommodation.Thanks for all!DE:Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Als Willkommensgeschenk bekamen wir sogar einen Prosecco.Das Appartement war sehr sauber und es hat an nichts gefehlt. Mariella und ihr Mann achteten sehr darauf unseren Aufenthalt wirklich angenehm zu machen.Die Wohnung ist im EG und in einer ruhigen Wohnlage. Das Haus hat seinen Namen zu recht, überall im Garten blühte Jasmin.Sehr gerne kommen wir wieder hierher und wir können diese Unterkunft guten Gewissens weiterempfehlen.Danke für alles!!"

"I stayed in CASA PEDUM one week in May with my husband and daughter. We really enjoyed our stay there. The apartment was clean and comfortable, the kitchen well equipped and it was lovely to have two bathrooms. The view from the balcony is very beautiful. The location is good, if you have a car; it is close to Stresa and a perfect base to explore the lake from."

"Die Unterkunft hat eine wunderbare Aussicht, die wir jeden Tag genossen haben. Es war sauber, gut ausgestattet und gut gelegen. Innerhalb weniger Minuten ist man mit dem Auto unten in der Stadt. Wenn man Lust auf eine kleine Wanderung hat, ist man in ca 30 Minuten im Zentrum. Großer Pluspunkt ist der Parkplatz an der Unterkunft. Sonst wäre es sehr sehr schwierig was zu finden. Die Unterkunft kann man auch gut mit einem Kind buchen, wobei man sich bewusst sein muss, dass es kein extra Kinderzimmer gibt. Für uns war es nicht nötig, denn unsere 10 Monate alte Tochter hatte ausreichend Platz. Auf Nachfrage wurde ein Kinderstuhl und ein Kinderbett mit der notwendigen Ausstattung zur Verfügung gestellt. Mit einer Kraxe konnten man auch ohne Probleme die kleine Wanderung ins Zentrum machen. Laura ist eine sehr freundliche und fürsorgliche Gastgeberin. Sie hat uns persönlich empfangen, uns viele wertvolle Tipps (Ausflüge, Einkaufen etc.) gegeben und war jeder Zeit erreichbar. Außerdem gab es ein Willkommengetränk (Prosecco und Wasser) und Spezialgebäck aus Stresa, was beides köstlich war. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Urlaub und können die Unterkunft wärmstens empfehlen. Wir würden diese jederzeit auch nochmal buchen."

"Whilst the location was good, and the views very nice from the balcony the property itself was very average. When we arrived we found there was no working oven (not told about in advance), the kitchen light was also broken, we were told this would be fixed, an electrician came but was not fixed and exposed wires left (hard to use the kitchen in the dark). Further to this there was a point when we had no running water, though apparently known to the owners this was not communicated to us and left us without a working toilet for over 24hours with no urgency to fix and no compensation for all the failed facilities! The facilities in the appartment were basic, linens average etc. Fortunately the surrounding area made up for this and we enjoyed exploring Stresa and the hills and towns on Lake Maggiore and Lake Orta."

"Laura and Davide’s home in the peaceful village of Calogna nestled in the hills overlooking Lake Maggiore is truly fabulous. If you’re looking for a property where you are able to step off the treadmill of daily life, rest and recharge, then this house is definitely the one for you.Vrbo’s description and pictures of Casa Gardenghi are accurate but it is even better in reality.This beautiful home lacked nothing, tastefully decorated, comfortable furnishings, large peaceful garden and a ‘dipping pool’ ideal for cooling off on hot days. The views of the lake are stunning from the terrace, balcony, lounge and dining room picture window.If you are lucky enough to stay here, don’t miss the treat of rising early one morning to catch the sunrise over the mountains on the eastern shore of the lake.Thank you Laura and Davide for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home and for the warm welcome on our arrival.We would love to return and stay longer next time."
