AFFORDABLE Glorified Basecamp -"The Bird House"

"Such a lovely house to stay to explore Yellowstone. The house was very clean and well decorated. Beautiful paintings, decorations, and stones.Ren and Jim were also kind enough to provide bear spray for hiking.My mom love stones, so she was thrilled that Ren let's their guests take any stones that Ren has collected.The outdoor shower was quite an experience. I find it refreshing.We would definitely stay here again if we were to return to the area. Thank you Ren and Jim, we had a pleasant stay!"

"My husband and I stayed at the Cabin by the River for our honeymoon. It was an amazing stay. Chris and Warren are very kind and easy to get a hold of hosts. The second day we were there I dropped the coffee pot and broke it [I'm a bit of a klutz] and Chris was super sweet about it and got us a new coffee maker before we even got back home from hiking in the park. The view off the porch is to die for and we spent every morning and evening sitting on the porch swing looking out at the river and the mountains. The beds and bedding were very comfortable and the kitchen is fully stocked with utensils that you would need to cook pretty much anything. They even have a crock pot, which we used to make a roast while out hiking. If you want to stay near Yellowstone, you should definitely be staying at the Cabin by the River!!!!!"

"We cannot say enough about the Schoolhouse Cabin, it is a gem as is the location it sits on. We travelled a couple weeks around Montana and Sarah’s cabin was our favorite. So comfortable and beautiful. The only problem is you almost would rather stay at the cabin than explore the area. Highly recommended this place and hope to be back one of these days. Thank you!!"

"We loved our stay ….. wish we could have stayed longer! What a wonderful place!!! Super clean, super comfy bed. And everything we needed - even both AC and heat!! Amazing bathroom and kitchenette - and even hot chocolate and a choice of teas!! How thoughtful!!"
