"The setting was unique. Originally hundreds of years old stone farmhouse. Grounds were extensive with vegetation, creek and pond, ponies, goats, etc. And many birds for bird watching. Gourmet restaurant on the premises."

"Stayed one night. In my opinion, this property does not match the level of quality I usually associate with Best Western hotels in the US. The room felt outdated and could have been cleaner. The carpet was quite dirty, and the curtain was partially off the window when we arrived.. On the positive side, the room itself was spacious, there was plenty of street parking nearby, and the reception staff were very kind and welcoming."

"This was my second time at the Rive Gauche. I stayed for one night to break up my journey from the west coast of France back to England. The hotel had everything I needed. I spent a pleasant evening in Saumur and made an early start the next morning. It's a great little hotel, in a very nice, convenient lication."
