Fantastic place to stay

This was a great find. Friendly staff and very accommodating. Awesome manager, he went to the store to find medicine for our son. Beds were comfortable, showers were hot and the food was delicious. We are so thankful we stayed here.

Good for short stays

We had a pleasant stay one night. The hotel is just off the main road, but a bit outside the city center. However, there is not too much in the city center, so if you just need a sleep over, this is a good spot. Clean and friendly, and quiet since it is off the main road.

We stayed two nights, before and after our safari. Staff were fantastic! Everyone was friendly and helpful, nothing was too much to arrange. We ate well and had two fun nights in the hotel bar. There was no need to venture out of the hotel premises.

The Giraffe Lodge Arusha is excellent value for money and the staff are incredibly friendly. We spent the night here before an early morning flight to Zanzibar (only 10 minutes to the airport which is one of its big plus points). We had dinner and watched Tanzania play a football match with a bar full of locals which was a great experience. The food is really good (dinner and breakfast), the room was clean and the staff could not do enough for us It is a real local’s area which we love away from some of the big chains. We would not hesitate to stay again

Quiet location 5 km north of town, however Benson will drive you where you want to go in town, no charge.

Very nice place to stay before going to a safari

Simple but very comfortable and the staff is extra nice and welcoming. They came to pick us up at the airport and dropped us back for free. The cook is lovely and the food soooo good.

When we checked in we were almost made to feel like criminals, with the "manager" telling us we had not paid(although I showed him my bank account from December 2024!)...we waited an hour whilst I was on chat with Expedia...disgusted by how we were treated and made to feel...no apology either, even if an empty apology...would not recommend it to my dog!! Would give minus points if I could...

Optimal vor und nach Safari

Wir haben hier vor und nach unserer Safari übernachtet. Besonders gut geeignet für Gäste, die in Arusha Flughafen ankommen oder abfliegen. Das Hotel liegt nur wenige Kilometer vom Flughafen entfernt und man wird kostenlos vom Hotel Manager abgeholt und zum Flughafen gebracht. Die Umgebung ist viel ruhiger als die Innenstadt. Die Unterkunft selbst bietet ein wunderbares Preis-Leistungsverhältnis an. Das Zimmer war sauber und relativ gut ausgestattet. Man kann auch günstig im Hotel essen. 100% empfehlenswert.

A gem in Sakina, Arusha.

We arrived from Kenya by road and were so wonderfully received with refreshing hot towels and juice. The rooms are very clean and there is hot water and wifi. The staff are wonderful and Yassin is also a great cook. The hotel is tucked away on a side street and it is lined with flower trees, banana trees, etc. We enjoyed our stay so much we stayed again on our way back from safari. Comfortable, and well worth the reasonable price. It is a little outside of the city center but for that it is peaceful.

Vi ble tatt imot av strålende og sjarmererende betjening selv om vi ankom sent på kvelden. Rommet var som forventet, enkelt men rent og ryddig. Vi fikk en herlig varm dusj når Happy satte opp vanntrykket. Etter tre fagers safari var vi tilbake en natt før turen gikk videre med hotellets shuttle til flyplassen. Vi hadde et hyggelig opphold på lodgen.

It was great to stay especially of the staff. Yasin and Happy are the assist to the property. Although the hotel is bit far from the town but free shuttle covers that part. Good budget place to stay. If you are coming from Kenya by road, just give a call to property to pick you up before you entry to the town....

Fantastische Unterkunft - Erwartungen übertroffen

Wir waren in der Giraffe Lodge, um eine Safari in Arusha zu machen. Der Empfang ist herzlich! Das Personal super freundlich, das Essen spitzenmäßig! Uns wurde sogar ein Safari-Veranstalter vorbeigeschickt, mit dem wir eine wunderbare Safari gemacht haben. Der Transport vom Arusha-Flughafen oder in die Innenstadt ist kostenlos und hat wunderbar geklappt! Alles in allem wurden unsere Erwartungen übertroffen! Unbedingt hier buchen!!!
