"We stayed here for the last two days of a New England trip in August, and it is one of the best VRBOs I have ever had the pleasure of staying in. The view from the deck is spectacular and we really enjoyed sipping wine and watching the harbor in the evening and seeing the lights come on, on Bailey's Island across the way. The beds and furniture were very comfortable, even the sofa bed in the second bedroom. It's an air mattress that inflates by a connected compressor, I'd never seen one before.Cook's Note: We cooked every breakfast and dinner there. The kitchen is very well stocked, it has an abundance of Corningware. There's an 8" and 10" Stainless skillet, but nothing larger. I used a stockpot for an ad hoc wok. The appliances are brand new. They have an induction cooktop, which I had fun using. You should bring any spices or sauces you might need. There was some olive oil and canola oil in the cupboard. The knives are sharp."

"We felt very comfortable in this cottage and especially enjoyed the recent construction, the spacious feeling, large windows, beautiful view, and wonderful location. This was our first visit to Stover’s Cove and Harpswell. We had stayed on Bailey Island a few years ago while visiting friends there. The even quieter atmosphere of Harpswell suited us perfectly, with its beauty, tranquility, history, and great food. Of course, Pammy’s Ice Cream was one of our favorite local treats!Everything guests might need was provided. It felt as though the owners had taken the time to "put themselves in their guests’ shoes.""

"The property is very nice. Unfortunately we were in town for a funeral and not a vacation. We needed a place to stay for 5 adults and this fit the bill. If we were to come on a vacation, I would definitely look up this property and give it another try. The house is very nice, new-ish, well appointed, and very clean.There are a few maintenance items that should be addressed. The door to the first floor bathroom does not latch shut. There is a small leak in the basement dripping near the washer. Not sure if it is a drain or tub leak from above. Couldn't figure out how to use the air fryer/toaster oven. it wasn't intuitive and there was no owner manual (as so much of the other appliances had). We did get to walk the beach. It was so nice and not too busy. Note that if you walk to the beach from the house, it would not be good for a senior with balance issues. Could easily twist an ankle or fall. Remember to not walk down the road by the house. It is someone's private road (as we were warned by the owner). The trail to the beach is along the property's black fencing. If you need to drive down as we did, the road is narrow and hard to find. Two way traffic is not easy so if you use something other than all-wheel drive you could get stuck.All in all, I would recommend this rental. We did not bring pets so cannot judge from that perspective, but I can say that you couldn't tell that pets were allowed (No smells or damage or dirtiness.)"

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Absolutely relaxing weather was fabulous. While temperatures at home were triple digits it was twenty degrees cooler with a little breeze. The water was great for a swim. Deer were fun to watch under the apple trees of course the one eating the bird seed out of feeder up the road was not funny for them. The house was gorgeous very well equipped and comfortable. Always a good time."
