"Hotel is located on a quiet square a few minutes walk from the city centre. The room was large, spacious, newly decorated and extremely clean. Excellent generous breakfast served by friendly and welcoming team member. The mattress was overly worn and not comfortable, the bed linen was overly fragranced with fabric conditioner, as were the towels. Overall the positives way outweighed the negatives."

"Wonderful setting - deer, rabbits and birdlife in the grounds. Not too well maintained (leaking loo, no shower grab rail, peeling paintwork). Make your own coffee at breakfast, plates left on table. Well meaning 3* quality but no higher."

"The property is in need of a refurb as it is looking tired in places. Staff were helpful and polite. Outside seating was insuficient on this sunny weekend. Cooked breakfast was good but the continental (cheese & ham etc) was woefully poor. In the light of recent events the security was bad, entry to the rooms via lift and stairs was not controlled in any way so anyone could walk in off the street and have access. Location, location, location is the big plus for this hotel all in all a very enjoyable stay."
