This cozy cabin was perfect for our Asheville weekend getaway! Close to everything we had planned, yet tucked away enough to feel completely secluded. Even cuter in person and spotless! We loved our stay.
Wonderful stay with great views and close proximity to the city! This is my second stay at George’s property and it’s such a nice place and a fantastic value. It’s quiet and secluded but you’ll be in the city within 15 minutes. My dog and I both enjoyed our stay and we’ll be back!
Great apartment with awesome views. Kitchen is well stocked. Bed was comfortable enough. Drive to the place was steep and on a one lane moutainside road.
Such a wonderful, inviting and quaint cottage. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The mountain views are stunning - we even got to enjoy a little dusting of snow. And then there’s George- he is such a welcoming and warm host. We absolutely loved it and can’t wait to visit again. Dale & Debbie
Beautiful view and very peaceful at this rustic cabin. George is a great host and was helpful in finding the best places to hike. It’s only a short drive to downtown Asheville. I enjoyed my time here.
My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was very cute and we liked the vibe! The view was amazing and just a very relaxing, calming property. The photos deff don’t do it justice. The bed was comfy, shower was hot and the fire was nice and warm. We weren’t prepared for that steep drive up so just be careful! We got used to it after the first few times.
The highlight for us was seeing a family of bears right before we were leaving in the evening. We were watching the sunset and a mama bear showed up to eat the bird seed. Then 4 cubs followed! We watched them instead of the sunset lol.
George is so nice and welcoming and was available when we had any questions! Thank you George to opening up your home so others can experience the beauty.
We felt like we found a gem—a quiet place with incredible views, cozy cabin feel, a kind & generous host. Add to that the amazing opportunity to observe black bears. All while being within a few miles of so many things to do in the Asheville area.
George's cabin is conveniently nestled at the top of a beautiful mountain with scenic views and amazing convenience. Not to mention his friendliness and hospitality.
Every time I leave George’s cabin, I daydream about the next time I can return. The moments spent in Ollie’s (George’s Camp Cat-selor) company and watching Mama Bear with her adorable cubs—at a safe distance, of course—are truly unforgettable. It’s heartwarming to see the beautiful space that George has created, where both wildlife and humans can harmoniously coexist. It’s a remarkable sanctuary that resonates with the soul.
This is a perfect rustic cabin for two. George was very helpful and suggested a great park for us. A beautiful view was the reward for the steep drive.
My partner and I were exploring Asheville for the first time with our pup. George's cabin in the woods was the perfect mountain getaway. The cabin was adorable and was supplied with everything we needed. Would definitely recommend staying here for anyone checking out Asheville!
