Location was 10 to 30 minutes away from whereever i wanted to go. I would recommend staying here to anyone."

"Went to daytona beach for an overnight stay, and after we were done there it was 7 pm and my kids and i were tired and we didn't want to drive all the way back to Ocala. We decided to stop in deland and stay over one more night since we needed showers and sleep from the beach. I was iffy cause of some of the reviews, but completely thrilled! The hotel was fairly priced for a last minute stop on a Friday night. I didn't catch the name of the front desk girl, but she was so nice and helpful! The beds were comfortable, the room was spotless, the shower was great, my kids loved the breakfast, and there were so many options to choose from. There was a couple there for a wedding, and while we were eating, i noticed one of the morning staff talking to some of the party involved, and while that had nothing to do with us; it was noted how kind the staff was with them. They were assuring them that they would make sure everything was perfect, and one of the receptionists personally assured them that she would go above and beyond to make sure that everything was taken care of. You don't see that kind of service anymore and it was very kind of her to offer that. Even though she was joking, that same girl was so sad that we were checking out and encouraged us to stay, lol. And the girl who was there the night before was also working again. The whole experience was great overall and if we need to stay in deland again I definitely know where I'm staying! "

"We had a wonderful stay! The property is beautiful, nestled in a quiet neighborhood with a beautiful lake across from the entrance. The property is beautiful and full of southern charm. The room we stayed in was the Captain’s Room which is nautical themed and featured a jacuzzi tub (I unfortunately didn’t get to test out the jacuzzi function though). It was adorably decorated and very cozy. Breakfast service in the morning takes place in the common area of the office. Everything was delicious and fresh and we got to take treats for the road too. You can’t eat in the room but there’s a cute space to dine in the screened in porch, which was a super fun experience to have dinner with my husband at night! There’s also a property cat. He is sweet as can be. I recommend head pats. 10/10 experience. "
