Absolutely fantastic!!

Nothing but top notch... Best service & Japanese hospitality at its finest... Everything was well thought out and well presented. The view from your private bath is just breathtaking - must do & experience even for an overnight stay. Highly recommend!!

部屋つきの露天風呂がとても良かったです。お掃除も行き届いていたと思います。 お食事も良かった。新鮮な地魚、野菜、お肉と良質な素材のものが、タイミングよくサーブされます。 夕食の際の飲み物が間違ってついていたけど、内訳を説明してくれたので訂正できました。その点のみマイナス。それ以外はとても丁寧な接客でした。

Secluded small personalize hotel

It feels like you enter another world once you get into the hotel. You first need to remove your shoe as you enter the hotel. Instead of going to a check-in counter, we were asked to sit and they come with all the check in papers. While waiting for them to check our passport, we were serve some Yuzu water. Also they carry all the luggage for us while we wait to our room. Since is a small hotel they knew exactly who we were, feels very personalize. The onsen bath was amazing, facing the ocean. The only thing is there is a room in front of the balcony for you to get ready for onsen that area don't smell that good. It has a vent in that area, should leave it on at all time. Food was great. Service was fantastic. So so nice!! Too nice!! :)

Great food and comfortable stay

The dinner is great and food quality is good. Hotel staff is nice and helpful. The room is big, clean and comfortable. The private onsen is perfect and have sea view.

기대했던 료칸의 모습 그대로 매우 깨끗하고 아담하며, 친절합니다. 객실에 딸린 조그마한 탕과 아늑한 지하 방 역시 만족스럽습니다. 12,000Y에 달하는 저녁식사를 제껴서 맛은 모르겠지만 아침으로 식사는 정갈함으로는 최고였던 데 반해 찬의 맛은 새롭지 않았습니다. 이로 보아 저녁식사도 가격 대비로는 생략한 것이 나았던 것 같습니다. 아타미 역에서 차로 10분 거리이며, 픽업서비스를 제공하지만 산골인 주변에는 실제로 아무 상업시설도 없어 숙소 내에서 오붓하게 하룻밤을 지내기에는 최적입니다.

Relaxing onsen experience

Excellent service from all the staff paying particular attention to all your needs. Open air bath in our room was an excellent idea. You also had access to reserve a larger private bath area. The kaiseki breakfast and dinner were exquisite in taste and showcasing all local seafoods. Beautiful plum garden just a short walk from the ryokan. The famous Japanese Sawada Seiko also had a museum inside the garden. Well worth visiting.

A 5-star romantic honeymoon experience

We stayed at Wa-tei for 3 nights for our honeymoon and we loved every minute of it. The service was excellent and the dining experience was astounding. Every night we were served with a delicious six or seven course meal. The ingredients used were always fresh and local. On our last night, the staff even arranged flowers for my wife during dinner. Super nice of them! We loved the private hot spring tub in our room and the view of the pacific ocean was just breathtaking. We also tried the other private indoor hot spring option which you can book to use and we loved that as well! Overall, we loved our stay and we recommend this place to anyone looking for a romantic getaway!

Beautiful Room and Onsen Relaxation

Staying here was an incredible experience. The staff was very polite, professional and kind. The room was very large and comfortable. This was definitely one of the highlights of my trip to Japan. I would love to stay here again someday.
