The space

Encircled by neoclassical architecture and winding ancient streets, there lies the first area, of the city of Athens. Plaka, a 10 minute walk from the Acropolis, known as "Neighborhood of the Gods’ is the oldest and most picturesque neighborhood of the ancient city.
Within the archaeological sites, residential areas, and ancient markets, there lies an exclusive hidden residence, Aerides Luxury Suites.

Encompassed by a historical building of the 1800’s, Aerides Luxury Suites is adjacent to the ancient Roman Market & the world’s first meteorological station, adopting its moniker from the antique monument.

The exclusive property was originally constructed of natural materials such as Pentelic marble; the material used to build the most beautiful architectural creation the world has seen, the Parthenon, dedicated to the Goddess Athena.

However ancient the property’s exterior may be, the interior is equally contemporary. A romantic, harmonious marriage of luxury and modern amenities, equipped with a living area, large kitchen, fully equipped with all appliances; three large bedrooms, including a master and ensuite.

Perhaps one of the property’s most impressive characteristics is its large balcony and spectacular views. Patrons may enjoy their naturally harvested coffee, organic honey, or homemade wine, while viewing a few of the world’s most ancient ad spectacular sights; the Acropolis, and the ancient Roman agora.

This apartment exceeded all our expectations! Location could not have been better! View from the patio was phenomenal! Very comfortable and large property. Morning food was provided for us! We highly recomend this property.

Fantastic property and exceptional experience!

I would give this property 6 stars if I could! The location was unbeatable and the hosts were fantastic and really went above and beyond. The apartment was pre-stocked with some food and water, and the check-in process was seamless. Abdi provided excellent service. The hosts were also extremely responsive. We had many flight delays and cancellations that made our first days in Athens chaotic, and Xenia was so responsive and helpful. This property has my highest recommendation.

Wow! Amazing apartment just as described. The owner/property manager (Michael/Xenia) were fantastic to work with and responded quickly to any questions we had. (My flights were late by 24 hours) so I had lots of communication with them and they were excellent! They also had stocked some light breakfast items for us which was a lifesaver. Abdi who helped check us in was also wonderful ! The apartment is 5-10 minute walk to the base of the Acropolis and lots of cute shops and restaurants all close by. Highly recommend this apartment!

Amazing Property with a Location that Can't be Beat!

Such a wonderful stay in the heart of shops, restaurants, and historical sites. There are even ruins in the back yard. The hospitality and helpfulness of the owners in terms of transport and food made the stay even more special. We hope to return to Athens again and we would not dream of staying anywhere else!

Lovely Apartment, Stellar Location

What a wonderful apartment. Our family of 4 was supremely comfortable and really enjoyed all this apartment had to offer. The location in La Plaka is the very best spot in all of Athens, and the views of the Acropolis from the patio were breathtaking. Rooms are well appointed and communication was excellent. The apartment is in the middle of everything, we were there 5 days and never used any transportation. The apartment was excellent, no issues at all, and your host is one of the best we’ve had. Thanks for everything see you next trip.

Best location

We have young kids so we were in early every night. We were able to look out our windows and enjoy that gorgeous terrace amongst Greece’s historic sites - a real pinch me treat. The hosts were attentive. We had an issue with the bath water coming out cold and it was resolved within a couple of hours while we were out. We had treats (bread, eggs and a huge bowl of fruit upon arrival. Cereal and so many other things too). Highly recommend.

Absolutely perfect!

After coming off of a cruise, we chose this apartment for location and three bedrooms. Turns out everything about it was perfect for us. The beds were comfortable, the AC and appliances worked very well, it was centrally located, and the views and vibe in the neighborhood were spectacular! We felt comfortable safe, and like locals! The communication with Michael and the team was very good. I’m not sure if we could have chosen a better place to spend five days in Athens. Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful place and thank you also for the little touches like leaving us with plenty of paper products and starter supplies of food and water. It was perfect! Loved it!

PERFECT

For the past 50 years of visiting Athens, we usually stay with family in the Ampelokipi area. This time, we decided to splurge a little and booked Aerides Suites, and WOW, this was a whole new Athens for us. Basking in the glow of the Acropolis, on a quiet street with minimal foot and car traffic and easy access to ... everything!...we have literally never enjoyed Athens more. Sotiris' and Manos' home was *impeccably clean* and beautifully decorated. Sotiris was waiting for us upon our arrival and welcomed us with a refrigerator stocked with breakfast items for the next morning, and lots of useful and interesting information about the home and the area. He also checked in after a couple of days to see if we had everything we needed, and responded immediately when we texted him with questions a couple of times. I can't say enough about our wonderful experience staying at Aerides Suites and can't imagine going back to our usual Athens experience after this. Aerides is the Athens you want to experience. Take it from a Greek, do yourselves a favor and splurge on this vacation home, you will not regret it!

Magical and meaningful

From the quality of interaction and responsiveness from Sotiris during our booking process, to our delight and relief that he was there to enthusiastically welcome us at the apartment when we arrived after 20 hours of traveling, our experience could not have been better. Sotiris and his colleague gave us the tour and the rundown and it was like walking into a dream to look up and see the Acropolis lit up in the night, the ruins adjacent to the building, the ancient weather station and the incredible location - shops, restaurants and markets all around, beautiful, clean, welcoming cobblestone streets and kind helpful people. The apartment set up is very nice with three spacious bedrooms. The master bedroom (king bed) and bath is deluxe and the queen bedroom does indeed have the beautiful view of the Acropolis on one side and the street life and another prominent set of ruins on the other. The middle bedroom has a pull out couch that is comfortable by pull-out bed standards and works well for a single adult or two younger children. Our 16-year-old son was plenty happy there. The kitchen has basic cookware, dining ware and appliance but there are also cafes and markets steps away so getting take out is easy. The location is accessible on foot, metro or cab to literally all the major sites - you can easily walk to the Acropolis and the Agora through beautiful winding streets amid shops and restaurants. Sotiris arranged for a driver whom we used the whole trip to get to the ferry to the islands and to and from the airport. He also helped us troubleshoot getting our Covid tests to come back to the states. It was truly a dream vacation in a dream location and a beautiful, dream-come-true apartment.

The location of this VRBO was amazing! But unfortunately that was pretty much the only good thing about our stay. The “washer and dryer” listed in the amenities is not true. There is only a dryer, although apparently that is listed in the description somewhere (per the owner) but I was not able to find it. We also found a cockroach which made us very uncomfortable with our luggage being in the house. The owner did say they were sending out an exterminator the next day which was after we were gone so that did not really help us at all. Also the host did let us drop off our luggage 2 hours early from check in to accommodate us which was great but the women who let us in told us that the wine was available to us and at half price. Although, when checking out they charged us more than what the full price for the bottle was listed as. Lastly, if you are wanting privacy I would not book here. They have cameras throughout the kitchen, patio, and possibly more which felt like an invasion of privacy. It is typical to have them on the outside of the residence but I do find it uncomfortable and weird to have them inside the house, I have never seen that before at a VRBO. I do have to say the owner was quick to respond and address questions but did say they “highly doubt” they’re concierge told us the wine of half off when telling her 3 out of the 6 of us were in the room and heard her say that. Caution with booking this.

Location,location, location! This is a fantastic, central location for all the tourist activity in Athens as well as plenty of lovely bars and restaurants. However when you're inside the apartment, it's quiet, peaceful and spacious. A great, well equipped kitchen and beautiful terracotta overlooking the acropolis was excellent for dining with the kids for at least some of our meals. Highly recommended.

Stop searching, you found it!

We are a family of four with two teens. This apartment was perfect for us. Plenty of room, comfortable, ideal location, and lovely management team. We planned to hit the grocery store first thing for some basics, but there was no need. There was already fruit, milk, yogurts, water, etc in the fridge. That was huge for me!! It really is as amazing as the photos in the listing. The restaurant below the apartment is great; we dined in their outdoor seating three times and really enjoyed the food and the staff.

Wonderful stay! Xenia was incredibly helpful and responsive prior to our stay and Abdi was welcoming and friendly during our stay. Would not hesitate to return to this property. An amazing time in Athens!

We had an amazing stay in Athens. Our accomodation was everything we hoped for. We felt very cared for prior to our stay, during check in and with the queries we had during our stay. Check out was easy. Nothing was too much trouble. The apartment was beautiful - spacious and tastefully decorated. The beds were so comfortable, and wow - the view - absolutely stunning! We had to keep pinching ourselves that we were looking at the Acropolis from our balcony!Everything was so close - we had many walks and found lots of different parts of Athens. Our hosts recommended a play to see, just minutes from the apartment - which we did on the last night. We mentioned Aerides and got front row seats and a blanket! Highly recommend Aerides for your stay in Athens.

Exceptional Property Excellent Location.

This spacious suite offers spectacular views of the city from every balcony & terrace . Located in the heart of Plaka neighborhood. Friendly people. Pictures of apartment do not do it justice. It was gorgeous and much better than we expected. We were all very comfortable. I would highly recommend this gem to everyone who wants close proximity (walking) to all restaurants, shopping and of course to all the ancient ruins and museums.
