My experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing. The location felt unsafe upon arrival. There were several people hanging around outside, and I was honestly nervous walking in to check in. Thankfully, the person I was traveling with walked me inside. The check-in process was simple, and I appreciated that no deposit was required, which can be helpful for some travelers. We were directed to our room and told we could close the security gate covering the entryway. I thought this was a great safety feature, but when we arrived, the gate was not functional and could not be moved, so I was unsure how it was supposed to provide security. The room itself was in poor condition. The TV was sitting on top of a table instead of being properly mounted, the tables appeared damaged and were going into the walls, and the curtains only covered half of the windows, leaving very little privacy. I was considering just accepting the situation and leaving when my travel companion was bitten by an unknown insect and had to be taken to the nearest hospital. We later found out the bites were caused by ticks, including deer ticks. After returning from the hospital, we went back to the hotel to inform them that we were leaving early. Unfortunately, there were no staff members available—only people outside asking about taking our room because we were leaving. We returned the keys and left. This was one of the most uncomfortable and concerning hotel experiences I have ever had.

For what I needed it for it was perfect but I would not vacation there and I would not stay longer than the night just that was perfect very helpful very accommodating and very welcoming however the property needs to be updated

When i got to the hotel they told me they were book, a 100 percent occupied, however that was not the case, it was visible that several rooms where available. I showed my reservation but she did not honor the reservation. Now what is ironic is that normally Expedia would have sent an email stating that I did not show up and that it was a cancellation. Albeit, I log into my email a week later and I see you all sent an email inquiring how was my check in, so apparently the check in process did actually occur xpedia would have sent an email indicating that the reservation was cancelled. To receive an email inquiring about the check in process as well as my overall stay at the OYO at I-20 Decatur is rather strange to stay the least. Even though the reservation was not paid in advance, the reservation was still in my name, therefore, any damages that may have occurred OYO could hold me accountable, Again, I will reach out to or more details

I wouldn’t recommend this place to a single person. It is a motel for crack-heads and cheap prostitutes. If you don’t fall into that category, you’ll want to stay so, so, far away from this place

DISGUSTING PLACE

I didn’t even stay. This place was disgusting. I was so disappointed. After driving 5 hours and needing a place to rest then walking into this smelly, dirty and poorly put together place was so upsetting. They should be ashamed of themselves.
