The super cosy bedroom is tucked away in the quietest nook of the apartment with a comfy double bed. It’s your chill zone, far from the street buzz, perfect for catching those zzz’s.
The full kitchen oozes rustic charm and is kitted out with all the appliances you need. Time to channel your inner chef and whip up some gourmet goodies!
The bathroom has a spacious shower with steaming hot water, killer water pressure, and a choice between a massage shower head or a rain shower—whichever suits your vibe. Oh, and did I mention the LED lights that can switch to any colour you want? Yeah, it’s a vibe.
Guests absolutely love:
1) The retro décor that’s full of soul.
2) Our location (right in the heart of the trendiest hood, steps from the best bars, cafés, and eats).
3) The beautiful park right across the road, perfect for a morning coffee stroll.
Two things to keep in mind:
1) It can get a little lively on the weekends (that’s part of the fun, right?).
2) No aircon, but we’ve got a fan to keep you cool.
This pad is so retro-cool, you’ll be dusting off your bell-bottoms and spinning vinyl like it’s 1975. Come for the nostalgia, stay for the vibes! 🎶✨

We loved this place. Very fun and close to shopping, parking and tons of restaurants. We wanted to the Auckland museum, which was pleasant and mostly through parks. Would stay here again.
This was a comfortable, clean, well-equipped little apartment in a great location. It was right across the street from the park, and within a few blocks of everything you need. I would absolutely stay here again!
Easy check in and centrally located. The stay here was comfortable and easy to get around the city from. I took some day tours and it was a short walk to the meeting points also short walks to restaurants.
The location, the amenities and the comfort of the space was the best I experienced in my entire time in New Zealand. I hope leaving a glowing review doesn't impact the demand for this place so much that I can't reserve again next time I'm in AKL!
Comfy and stylish apartment in a fantastic location
My wife and I had 3 wonderful nights in this comfortable and well equipped apartment. It was clean and quiet, and is conveniently located in the CBD, with easy access to wonderful cafes, restaurants, galleries, museums, ferries, and the University of Auckland. We recommend this lovely spot with enthusiasm.
We stayed 2 nights in Auckland and had a great experience. The host was helpful with early check in and have us an opportunity to leave our suitcases so we could explore the city early in the day after our overnight flight in. Lots to do within walking distance, nice sunlight in the apartment, clean facilities. Helpful to have a washer and dryer in unit! Thanks for a great stay!
We had a great stay here. Its location was perfect - close to town and the hop on hop off bus stop. It had everything you needed but the bed was tiny - it struggled to be a double.
Overall though it was hard to fault. Loved outcry.
This apartment was as described and central to everything in Auckland. It sits right across from Albert park. Hannah the owner was easy to communicate with and helpful.
Had everything for a pleasant stay, A tasteful mix of modern and the past. Close to Queen Street, heart of the business district, yet next door to Albert Park. Plenty of dining options nearby, shopping, and acess to the water front. Great for singles or a couple to spread out in. Loved the shower and the plush towels. Five stars all the way.
This was the perfect place to stay while touring Auckland and surrounding areas. Easy access to small tour pick up locations as well as Hop on Hop off bus tour. Public transportation was also very accessible with bus stops all around. Little restaurants, pubs and coffee houses everywhere. The home was clean and lovely. Host was very responsive. A delightful stay! Thank you for sharing!
We had difficulty checking in. Taxi could not find the number so dropped us off at the top of the street and told us the address was in that block. The numbers were not visible. We sat at a lovely café with four suicases and our phones, using the cafe's wi-fi and talking turns going out looking for it. Eventually, the fantastic young manager took one of us out and we did find. I suggest that the address number should be more prominent and some kind of signage be posted.

I stayed here while attending a conference. The property is very cutely decorated with everything I could possibly need. I appreciated inclusion of the little extras that are often not included in similar properties (eg, milk sachets in fridge, toiletries, washing powder, etc. My Auckland friends were worried about my safety at night given the property entrance location opposite the park. I did feel a bit vulnerable coming home late at night but the road alongside is fairly busy so never felt unsafe. Most of the week the prop was very quiet. I only had problem with noise on Friday and Saturday nights of my stay when Aucklanders decide to party. This was solved with the addition of some white noise and I can’t complain about the comfortable bed where I slept soundly most nights. The only addition I needed as a business traveler was a proper desk and chair. The view of the park each morning, central location, and cheap eats all around make this a fantastic Auckland property at an affordable price. I’d definitely recommend and will stay again.

Great location. Owner very responsive. Should have taken a cab from the airport because we didn’t have a great map when the bus let us off at Sky Tower. Should have been easy! Would stay there again.
We rented this place for about 5 weeks upon moving to Auckland to give ourselves some time to explore suburbs and decide on a long term apartment/house. While small and not perfectly set up for a long term stay, we found it lovely. The charm of the exposed brick and original wooden floors brings a ton of character along with nice decorations. Big Victorian windows looks out directly on the green slope of Albert Park’s west side and I spent many hours in that park enjoying nature and people watching. The neighborhood is chock full of delicious mostly Asian restaurants that stay open later than most businesses in the CBD and it is right next to the Art Gallery. The host was very helpful, responsive, and easy to work with. I would happily stay in one of her Hipstay properties again. Everything you need is within walking distance. You will get some traffic noise on weekday mornings and the occasional loud uni students headed across Albert to the bars in Central but overall it was fairly peaceful. Having Netflix come with it was a cherry on top and while we did not use the bikes they are available with a small deposit and I wish we had. Thank you, Hannah!
