Disliked: Check-in, communication, listing accuracy
The best definition for this stay is “lipstick on a pig”. We’ve never had so many issues on a trip. Many of our issues would have been easily resolved if we had been connected to the actual, personal host. Instead we were put through the gamut of AI. From the moment of check in until the end of the stay, everything was a hassle.We had door knobs, doors, and even paneling of doors either fall off or be completely defective. No paper towels or hand towels were provided. There were exactly 6 bath towels and 6 washcloths with none available in a linen closet. Each night when returning to the house the primary bedroom smelled of sewage. There was visible water damage on the baseboard and the shower attachment in the primary wasn’t attached to the wall, so water easily seeped in and likely resulting in the smell. All (but 1) smoke detector were removed and found in a drawer without batteries. Which is illegal. Remotes to operate ceiling fans did not have batteries in them. During check in our code didn’t work so my husband tried to access another way and went to the garage where it opened right up. Great for us considering we needed to get in, but horrible for safety. There’s 20 other mini things to address but i only get so many characters in my review. I’ve dealt with VRBO customer service and there is nothing they can do except contact the host, however, the host is a Google AI assistant so I am out my money. 0/10 do not recommend. In fact, RUN.
