Loved our stay at Camp David. The main house and bunk house were both immaculate. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub, volleyball, basketball, baggo, pickle ball, and the fire pit. This property is very well equipped with everything you need. The deck was very large with a fantastic view. A great property.
My family and I had a wonderful time at Camp David Retreat for Thanksgiving. It was 10 of us with 4 kids and 6 adults. We comfortably all fit and enjoyed all the on campus amenities. David and Wendy were incredibly responsive with our needs as we were preparing Thanksgiving feast away from home and we found the house well equipped. The kids loved the old school Nintendo games and pickleball courts. We highly recommend!
Camp David lived up to its implied name. You could summarize our stay as presidential. The host has thought of everything that you may need, and even the things that you didn't think about. We had a group of 25 adults and everyone in our group equally loved this place. From location to accommodations it was 5 star. The sunset view off the back patio/porch cannot even be scored as it was indescribably beautiful. Many in our group all have kids (not on this trip), but all commented that it would be a great spot for their families as well. Myself and our entire group fully recommend this property.
Our annual extended family summer Christmas was another year of grand memories at an amazing location. The age range for our family included toddlers, young adults, and mature adults and Camp David appealed to all of us. The kids stayed in the bunkhouse and enjoyed having no curfew. Those who wanted to go to bed, while others still played, were able to use the ear plugs and eye masks provided in each bunk to sleep. With the kids in the bunkhouse, each couple was able to have their own room. The back porch was also a very nice gathering place, whether as a big family or split into small groups. The misting fans were a major hit to make the outdoors tolerable during the warmer days of July. We could not get enough of the beautiful sunsets overlooking the varied elevations that is well-known in the Hill Country. We brought a water volleyball net that the kids enjoyed in the pool. Everyone appreciated the hot tub also either to warm up after the pool or just to sit around and chat. Our family didn’t use the courts too much because there isn’t as much shade until later in the afternoon. We had an absolutely wonderful time, and thank all who made our stay so very memorable!
This property has EVERYTHING! This is more than just a place to stay, it is an oasis of rest. I will make sure that we can come here every year for senior trip and would 10/10 recommend.
Such a wonderful stay! The house was perfect for a large group of adults and teens and had everything we needed. Communication with David was great and we were very happy. Great as advertised!
This was the perfect place for our family of 24 (ages 1 - 93). We enjoyed all the wonderful amenities especially the pool and the pickleball court. We made some wonderful memories just hanging out on the amazing deck with it’s many outdoor fans and misters! David, our host was so gracious and attentive; our check-in was seamless and much appreciated. The kitchen was also perfect and made cooking for our large group go very smoothly - LOVED the nice big Viking stove! We hope to return for a longer stay sometime in the future.

Retreat for The Well Austin Community Church Staff
Our staff of 27 from the Well Austin Community Church had a great stay at Camp David! Our female staff stayed in the Lodge and our male staff stayed in the bunkhouse. The Lodge fit our group games and cooking needs very well, and the patio had plenty of seating and table space for meal times. We had worship (guitar, vocals, and drone pad) and prayer in the Lodge and it was a great space. We had "free time" where people dispersed to the pool, read in hammocks, played in a pickleball tournament, watched a movie, and went for walks. Towels were provided for the pool and all the gear was provided for our pickleball. When we arrived the water pressure was running a little low, but David came out right away and solved the problem. Would definitely recommend Camp David for a retreat weekend!
