Briefly, Zilker Park is 358 acres of gorgeous center city park land and within it lies Barton Springs Pool which is fondly described as the crown jewels of Austin -The pool itself measures a whopping 3 ACRES in size, and is fed from underground springs with an average temperature of 68-70 degrees, ideal for year-round swimming. In addition to Barton Springs Pool, this property has immediate access all of Zilker Park and the 10 miles of hike and bike trail surrounding the lake. This is Austin’s social hub for hiking, biking, & winter canoeing… RENTALS for ALL of these incredibly fun activities are within WALKING distance. ABOUT THE DESIGN: This property offers you inspired design focused on the style and relaxed appeal of Austin, with flavors of Costa Rica. The overall vibe is "oversized loft" and absolutely “a part of the park" with incredible floors made with huge individual rough flagstones, cool limestone walls and cedar wood ceilings. Restoration Hardware crystal chandeliers fill the dining area & lounge spaces with sparkling light. A breezy sun-drenched flex space at the far end of the home opens up to the main living area creating a huge social space. This area is so comfortable, relaxing and beautiful with banks of windows and a skylight. It is the perfect entertainment space for a large group. As a conversation/entertainment space, 2 overstuffed XL futon beds make up the sectional sofa. PLEASE NOTE SPECIAL 3RD BEDROOM DESIGN: If your group happens to need a third bedroom, then, this room, a gorgeous 7‘ suspended cedar wall slides over and a 6’ corrugated swinging door cleverly & privately tucks this space away with its own en-suite. This space is a MUST SEE-truly unique, fabulously fun & fully customizable for your needs any time day or night.
Enjoy cooking in a fully stocked stone and wood kitchen with a luxurious marble sink and custom gourmet prep island. The living/dining area is complete with 2 sets of French doors and 6 additional over-sized windows. A MASSIVE wrap around deck offers 4 distinct beautiful outdoor living spaces. There are 2 impeccable stone and stucco full bathrooms with rainfall showers. Off the master with king bed, a large fenced yard allows for any accompanying pet to roam freely. The 2nd bedroom is small but has queen bed and 2 custom built in XL twin bunk beds, very whimsical. The 3rd bedroom, as described above, when closed off is just plain cool and comfy with XL twin beds. In the dining space, a 7.5’ custom cedar (built in place) table comfortably seats 8.
We are WALKING distance to so many of Austin’s finest dining experiences, pubs, night clubs and Alamo Drafthouse Cinema. Umlauff sculpture garden half a block away. Since we are so close to the park and downtown a great option would be to have bicycles delivered to you and perhaps do a guided tour. This can be set up by you through Mike's Bikes and Tours. SO - MUCH - FUN!!!
This property is an exquisitely restored/remodeled LUXURY duplex, lower level. The upper duplex is a vacation rental property as well. Like the most luxurious hotels you can hear some "slight" footfall noise transference. No expense was spared with extreme (latest & greatest) soundproofing materials used during this remodel.
