"For my wife and me, this trip was a sort of honeymoon since we had just gotten married a month ago. After a year and a half of challenges and a super busy life, we were eager to disconnect from the entire world, relax and recharge at Natura Cottages. I'm happy to say that our experience exceeded our expectations, we couldn't be more satisfied with our stay. The cottage was exactly as pictured, and we instantly fell in love with the place. It’s evident that the owners of Natura Cottages love their properties, as every detail was thoughtfully attended to. Our cottage beautifully combined coziness with traditional Greek style. We especially enjoyed the small private garden where we had breakfast each morning in the shade before heading out to explore a new beach. At night, we returned to a perfect silence, broken only by the sounds of crickets. Yet, we were just a five-minute drive from the town of Makri Gialos, with its seaside bars and restaurants. This part of the island is wonderfully natural and less touristy, perfect if you want to run away from the madness of the modern world! We explored several beaches by car, some recommended by Natura Cottages’ website and others I found through my own research. We were particularly enchanted by Paralia Goudouras, a peaceful spot with crystal-clear water. It has been a very positive experience and we really recommend this cottage!"

"Absolutely stunning villa- everything you need, incredible pool, stunning sea views, path to your very own bit of sea (where luck had we swam with a turtle), a great outdoor bbq and the perfect hosts- friendly, helpful, villa fridge/utility stocked like we’ve never seen before (basics but also lots of soft drinks/ water/ lots of fresh fruits/ salad/ eggs/ beer/ wine, and cleaning provisions) and even a homemade apple pie delivered mid stay. Transfers included which was a private air conditioned vehicle (we hired car with discount from same company and it was also excellent). Area beautiful but you do need a car- spoilt for beaches- sandy and pebbles- very calm bays so safe for children, snorkelling fab, great restaurants to chose from. We did days out including the water park, beach hopping, boat hire and water sports. The perfect villa and hosts- we have had fun and fully recharged! Thank you Stella and mum! "

Watching the sunset with a glass of wine at dinner was my favorite part of my Greece trip so far. I’m in love with the place and can’t wait to come back. "We stayed at Villa Manika at the beginning of July and had a wonderful time. The villa is a short drive to Sitia with shops, a beautiful harbour and lots of cafes and restaurants. We had a hire car but got a taxi a few times in the evening which was 8 Euros each way. The villa was very spacious, clean and well equipped, we also liked that it was laid out on one level. The pool was beautiful, it was a great size and the water temperature was perfect. Upon making our reservation Despina and Pantelis sent us emails with some suggestions on places to visit and restaurant recommendations which was very helpful. One suggestion would be that a welcome pack is provided with some essentials such as milk and bread etc, we had a very long journey so it would of been nice not to have to go to the supermarket immediately upon arrival. The only thing we felt that could be improved upon is an upgrade to the outdoor furniture and unfortunately the large parasol by the pool had a base which was unable to support it when the wind picked up and it kept getting blown over which could be dangerous. We noticed around the harbour area that the restaurants have their parasol bases bolted in the ground which might be a good idea. We very much enjoyed our stay here and it was a great base for exploring the eastern part of Crete. We would definitely stay at Villa Manika again when visiting this beautiful unspoilt part of the island. Thank you Pantelis and Despina for a wonderful stay."

"Super place to stay near the beach with fantastic views of the bay. Rooms very practical and clean, bed very comfortable. Poool and bar pretty great place to relax after day windsurfing. Wish we had stayed longer, very good value, will be back next year."
