"Hotel Cala de Mar es, simplemente, espectacular desde el primer momento. Desde la llegada, la experiencia es impecable: te reciben con una calidez genuina que te hace sentir bienvenido de inmediato. Todo el personal es increíblemente amable, siempre atento y con una sonrisa, cuidando cada detalle sin ser invasivos. Las instalaciones están en perfecto estado, todo se siente cuidado, elegante y bien pensado. La habitación es una maravilla: impecable, cómoda y con una vista que vale completamente la pena. La alberca privada es otro nivel; la hemos disfrutado muchísimo y hace que la experiencia sea aún más especial, al grado de que no quieres salir del cuarto. De verdad estamos súper contentos con la estadía. Cada día nos sorprenden con algún detalle, lo cual habla del nivel de atención y dedicación que tienen con sus huéspedes. El servicio, honestamente, no puede ser mejor. Sin duda, una experiencia 10 de 10. Un lugar al que seguro regresamos. "

"Emporio Ixtapa Hotel was nice. The staff is very welcoming from start to finish, the food options were good. The room cleaning was punctual like always and everyone always answered questions very nicely. It’s not a luxurious hotel, but I would much rather stay at a central location hotel with amazing staff, good food, than an expensive hotel with the a bad beach, horrible food and workers who think they’re all that and a bag of chips. I would stay there again and again! "

"Don’t go in high season! Lines to eat at only breakfast place. Pool a bit dirty! Rooms are great and clean. Great staff! Will return low season🏖️"

"Excellent beach view. The bath and pool towels were very old.l had a terrible experience because a termite infestation suddenly appeared in my room and I had to be moved. The lock on the terrace window didn't work."

"Desafortunadamente tocó que había una convención judía y era incómodo el salir del hotel porque decían que era una zona restringida tenía que explicar que iba a salir del hotel y la verdad más adelante volver a explicar que iba a salir en este caso fuimos al Cocodrilario y al Partenón otro día y que te digan que no puedes andar por ahí siendo la única salida pues si fue un poco incómodo porque sino quieren que uno salga por la única salida que tienen pues hagan otra "

"I traveled with two kids and my husband. Overall, we had a good time. The location is beautiful right by the beach. The beach is clean no vendors harassing you. You are just steps away from the beach. Across the street from the hotel you have little stores and restaurants. as I mentioned I traveled with kids. one of the main reasons I booked at this hotel was for the kids club. The kids club is very limited not very much activities. They only open for a couple hours. Another reason why I’m giving it three star is the lack of room service staff. The staff does not really answer the phone when you try to order and they have a charge every time you order. The choices of food at the resort were OK. The food was not bad, I just wish there was more choices. Overall, it was an ok resort. "

"This was our first stay at the resort and it was wonderful. We traveled as a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 kids (10 and 3). Our room was cleaned everyday, help desk was efficient and the staff was phenomenal. The buffet options, pool service and room service was top. Really great place to stay as a family. I was shocked at how pet friendly it is as well. We saw all kinds of dogs during our stay and we will actually be brining ours next time. "

"When we first got there things didn't seem to bad. The Host's assistant showed us around and we settled in. Looking around we discovered there were 2 melamine plates to use, an assortment of cutlery, including plasticware. There were no "glass" glasses. Plastic glasses, Sippy cups other plastic cups. There was a water filtration system on the kitchen counter. The gas stove had to be hand lit each time it was used. The dish towel had a huge rip in it.In the living room there was a non functioning refrigerator just left there. There was an exposed box of wires. I am assuming it was for the WiFi which we never had but was promised by the host that "it was being worked on". Therefore we could not begin our complaint as we had no WiFi.In the bedroom on the beds when we arrived there was a sheet and no blanket, I slept under a towel. the second night we did receive a blanket. The second day we started to see red bites on us. The third day there were many more. Looking it up it turns out that they were bedbug bites. We looked for them but then discovered that they are very elusive. They hide in bedframes, electrical outlets, picture frames, under rugs and any where they are undetectable. At this point we decided to leave for our own health and safety.There were other things but unless you want to read a novel I will stop now. I have documented everything and have pictures.We tried, unsuccessfully, four times to contact the host."
