great location. step away to lagoon. I would like to mention that with Aakal Lagoon front to ride pontoon or kayak it is on your door step. no need to pay extra beach club for this activities

Such a cute hotel, less than 20 rooms and the grounds were beautiful and maintained. The room was great, A/C worked great and you can’t beat being right on the lagoon. Staff was friendly. They arranged to have our laundry picked up and delivered the following day. By the way it was only about $7 for 25 items! Breakfast was very very limited, but there was a restaurant next door if you wanted something more substantial. They have bikes, kayaks and the water was beautiful. We would stay there again.

Great ambience and beautiful location on the water

We had a wonderful stay for three nights. The ambience was stunning. Location perfect with a great restaurant across the road. Staff were kind and helpful. Easy and fast check in. The bungalows is right in front of the laggon as stated on the description. The room is absolutely cozy and perfect. Breakfast is included and is cooked at the time you order, hot and very yummy! Lots of places near by, stores, food, bar, etc.. i highly recomend this place, totally a 5 star!!!!

It was ok - exactly as posted, however the hot water in the shower lasted less than 10 minutes regardless of the time of day. Lots of water pressure and the mattress was very good to sleep on. Pictures made room and bathroom appear much larger than they actually were.

The place is beautiful and the hotel is just like in the pictures. It's a very peaceful place with an incredible environment. Additionally, in the center, there are very good restaurants and games for the kids in the square. The only thing I would improve is the breakfast. There were only eggs (scrambled or omelet) and coffee. I would add some toast, butter, cereals, yogurt, etc.

This property was magnificent, I had the bungalow on the water. The birds the cranes in the morning with the beautiful trees surrounding me hanging over the waters edge was like paradise. It was peaceful, tranquil, and very relaxing, the nice music from the next-door bar was not a bother as it stopped early in the evening, the convenience of walking out onto the beautiful dock, and jumping in the beautiful lagoon was breath taking, the staff were so delightful, and the free breakfast in the morning was excellent, I think it was the most peaceful, relaxing place. I’ve stayed in a long time if you’re a nature lover, and you love to swim this is the best place.

The entire property needs repairs, renovations, etc.The bridge planks are broken in some places and nail heads are sticking out. It is dangerous to walk barefoot. But breakfast was good fresh made eggs, omelette.

Clean, quiet place to sleep at a good price.

Free parking on site, but you have to ring the bell at the main gate. Staff was friendly, but spoke little English. The property is large. Our room had a (shared) walk-out balcony with view of trees and lake. Free breakfast was simple, but nice. Location is only ~6 blocks to the fort and the main town square, which has lovely dining options. The square itself is alive with townsfolk in the evening. Feels more like a real Mexican town than most tourist destinations along the coast. Lovely.

We won't stay here again. Pictures were misleading. Overpriced for what it was. Room was small, shabby and sparse. We probably should have said something, but we just kept quiet, sucked it up, took it on the chin and laughed at ourselves. We left right after we got up and had breakfast. I can share photos of the unit. There were hand prints above the beds headboard. Not very pleasant to see. Shoe prints on the wall. The room had an unbearable odour. 2 lights not working. Wifi didn’t work at all in the room. The gardens were maintained well. Overall would not recommend at all.

Decent for the money, but it’s across the street from a nightclub that even from the farthest away hut you could hear the loud music all the way till 2:00 AM the next morning. Therefore in general I’d probably wouldn’t stay there again even as pretty of a beach view with lake it has.
