"Friendly, welcoming staff, great room, lovely food and terrific location"

"The welcome by Linda was warm and personable and even though I arrived a bit early, my room was ready. I stayed in a single twin bed, it was comfortable and there was plenty of space for luggage, etc. The bathroom was newly renovated and the tiles and fixtures are top quality--best shower in Scotland! Well stocked coffee & tea station--specialty herbal teas and hot coco! Breakfast was delicious with a multitude of options. If you want porridge order the night before. It is a bit out of the center but very walkable. Great 3-day stay! Will definitely return!!!"

"Kenny and Mairi did everything they could to make us feel welcome in their cottage. Lovely welcome gifts on arrival and some great books on walks on the island as well as wildlife were very helpful. The cottage is well located for exploring Lewis and Harris with some great points of interest in the near vicinity. The double bed was very comfortable and the towels luxurious! They had thought of everything. Wish we could have stayed longer! "

"Great property, nice for our family, but would also work really well with 2 families staying together as 2 bedrooms are upstairs and two down. The two living rooms are also great for doing separate activities. The house has been really well maintained and has everything you could need in the kitchen, plus 2 smart tvs, wifi, games and books about the area. The owner lived across the road and was so kind, met us when we arrived and was chatty and interesting, but didn't intrude on us at all. We only saw him again when we asked a question and he responded really quickly. We stayed 9 days, arriving late on Saturday. He made sure we had a fridge full of everything we would need for breakfast on Sunday as the shops are mostly shut (including some stornoway black pudding). We don't usually go back to the same place twice on holiday, but if we do return we would definitely stay here. The location is also great- nice and near several lovely beaches.
