"Upon check in, we were informed that the pool was unavailable because the levels were too high. An hour or so later, we heard them tell a family with little children the same thing. At checkout when we were asked about our stay, I said everything was fine, but it would have been nice to have the pool available (the main reason I booked this property and not another downtown). "We loved the way they preserved some of the old aesthetics with the new. Such a beautiful hotel. The restaurant was wonderful. We had filets, potato puree as well as the bacon mac and cheese. We especially enjoyed talking with the gal working the front desk. She was so friendly and knew alot about the area. I’m sorry I didn’t get her name. She was working the evening of 7/8 and 7/9. We loved the breakfast presentation across the bar area. Such a cozy atmosphere."
