The location is excellent, 10 minutes to the central train station with access to trams, and ferries, but the area is quite walkable. It is on the edge of the red light district but you can go there or avoid it easily. Pop for a canal view. The bar is really special, great snacks, drinks, and you can have a full dinner there. All the rooms are different, a bit quirky but very charming. Beautiful wood hallways and lots of art deco touches, worth a walk around the hotel. We stay here whenever we come to Amsterdam."
