"The breakfast sucked. We got sausage every single day not on top of that. Their amenities were not safe to use. On top of everything else in that hotel it was dirty. It wasn’t as promised. It didn’t look as expected. There was no hot water and the bathtub. Didn’t stop when you put the stopper in. Although I was in a handicap bathroom, I could not take a bath. The handles to the spot and the swimming pool were broken, including the Jets, which would pop in your face. I almost fell on my face, and no one has gotten back to me about my claim, and I was made to pay a full price I will never ever go to LA QUINTA AGAIN!!!!"

"The odor of the room was terrible. Maybe it’s because of the carpet cleaner, but the smell of bleach was so strong. My child woke up with itchy red bumps all over after sleeping in the bed; they look like dust mite. The hot water in the shower was excellent, and the breakfast was delicious."

"I did not have breakfast. It is available for a $10 fee. Do not know what it consists of. The property is enclosed by a steel fence, so it was very safe. Ample parking"

"I reserved this property online and was supposed to see the price which was supposed to include all charges and fees. When I arrived at the property, they sprang an outrageous pet fee on me which was almost as much as the room itself. Staff was unwilling to work with me so I left. I found another property where the fee was minimal. Shame on you Marriott!"

"I mean, it’s Bakersfield. Lots of cool things in Bakersfield, but it’s not a city known for being a tourist Mecca. The hotel, though, has a really Interesting history and if you are heading through it’s a kind of different place to stay, way better than a typical cookie cutter chain. More like a big city old school vibe. Good bar. Food was excellent. "
