I mean, it’s Bakersfield. Lots of cool things in Bakersfield, but it’s not a city known for being a tourist Mecca. The hotel, though, has a really Interesting history and if you are heading through it’s a kind of different place to stay, way better than a typical cookie cutter chain. More like a big city old school vibe. Good bar. Food was excellent.

The staff is courteous, polite, very helpful with every need you may have, they go out of their way to accommodate you. The valet parking is wonderful and they always open your car door and meet you at hotel door to open it as well. As far as the food goes, I’ve mostly ordered my food from the hotel menu and have to say everything has been very good! I traveled with a 13 lb multipoo and a small parrot and the only downside was having to cross 2 streets for the dog to go potty, I’m in my late 60’s so was a little uncomfortable in late night early morning hours as this Hotel is downtown so there are a lot of vocal homeless people out in the area But I would defiantly stay here again just wouldn’t bring my dog.
