"We stayed the night fire my husband’s graduation. I picked this hotel as the pictures were stunning and it did not disappoint! The room was large and beautifully decorated, the bed was huge and comfortable. We were in the very top of the hotel in room 12 with the low door to enter and we loved it. We also had a meal in the restaurant in the evening and couldn’t fault it. We were up and out early the next day but had time for a quick cooked breakfast to set us up for the day. "Fantastic hotel in every respect. I have just returned from a three-night stay. My son was staying in a cottage just down the road and this was a perfect location for all of us. The hotel is lovely and the friendly service was second to none. Every single member of staff (reception, bar staff, restaurant staff, and the cleaners) was so helpful and friendly. The food in the restaurant was delicious- both the breakfasts and evening meals. Would definitely stay again. "

"Lovely quirky old hotel but bathroom layout poor, could do with removing bath and putting a shower only, it would be much safer. Reception lady at 2pm was very abrupt and just said “check in not till 3” we only wanted to let her know we had parked in the patrons only car park. Breakfast staff and checking out lady, lovely."

"Had an incredible stay at this cosy hotel/pub! The staff were beyond friendly, making us feel welcomed right from the start. The bed was the epitome of comfort, guaranteeing a good night's sleep after each exciting day. We'll definitely be coming back. The food was nothing short of amazing, with the Sunday carvery being a highlight – it's a hit with the locals too, so a tip for future guests: make sure to book in advance. "The photographs of the property do not do this house and gardens justice. There were 14 of us staying and it’s the best house we’ve ever stayed in. The kitchen has everything you need to cook and entertain, with an Aga and separate oven. Seating in the house is plentiful and the grounds are stunning. We could easily walk for dinner into Bala as well as stroll down to the lake. The children had a swim in the leisure centre as the lake is a tad cold in May! It’s worth every penny to stay here....

"Clean and well fitted out (as described) and in a good location for harbour and beach. Friendly staff. I was initially concerned at a lack of information about where we could park, but once we had got to the place to ask, turns out they have a free parking space nearby for guests and we were not rushed out of it when we checked out so we had an extra couple of hours on the harbour with no parking problem. Great to have good air conditioning - gets hot in the attic room - and controllable blinds...
