"One night stay, simple room, but comfortable and very close to the lake which is the reason for our visit. Very nice breakfast. Restaurant available on premises which was great for dinner. The town is sweet, I wish we stayed longer. "

The owners were very hospitable and very helpful in arranging extra activities, like our bike rental.
Practical bonuses: a fridge in the room, a coffee maker in the main hall, complimentary tea and coffee; all making it possible to grab a snack before going out in the morning.
The neighbourhood is lovely and quiet, whereas the lake, the beach and the center of Keszthely are within a walking distance.
Overall, I would recommend it...

"The Outside doesn't look so nice, this is the first view! But if you meet the Girls by your Check-in, the are so friendly, you see your Room, nice and clean! You can walk in 5 minuets to the Lake Balaton, to visit the Beach, find a good spot to eat and much more. Also the Breakfirst was good, and the parking spot is direkt in front of the Hotel.

"Brett and Lilla are Always very happy with our stay at hotel helikon the food is always great and so is the facilityâs and the pleasant staff except for one low life who yelled at me for bringing my own drink to the dining room table but since Iâm rich and he is working poor I acted like an adult and let it go even though I could have ruined his life because this is the American way heâs lucky I wasnât an evil elitist snob European other than that everything was great the man was over 45 and had grey hair so Il let him enjoy his pathetic life "
"Do not have any high expectations- this hotel property is very basic. There has not been one single improvement, enhancement or update since the property was built to any of the common areas the Carpet is thread bare and stained. The balcony exterior is all in terrible condition and the entire hotel requires painting, New carpet & complete updating. Upon entry to the hotel we were greeted by a very rude arrogant man - who seemed overwhelmed and very unpleasant. He had shocking demeanour and was very unprofessional. We also experienced very rude staff at breakfast. "
