"Great, friendly/welcoming bar/front of house staff it makes a difference. Room was comfortable with a great shower, fluffy towels and very clean. Sunday lunch and the Thai fish cakes were tasty along with a good English breakfast. Very nice area and some awesome country walks nearby, a definite return when travelling up north. "

The breakfast is delicious and dietary requirements are well researched and catered for which is very much appreciated The bed is comfy with nice full pillows and duvet. "Owners of the property make you feel very comfortable and at ease. We stayed in the self-catering apartment but had an amazing breakfast each day. You can come and go without worrying about disturbing anyone. Very clean and comfortable accommodation of high standard. Will definitely be back. "

"Excellent 10 out of 10. Our 3 day Xmas period stay with our dog was from arrival absolutely superb. All the staff are very pleasant and helpful; the room was warm, comfortably and clean. The food throughout our stay was excellent with a menu to suit everyone and the Xmas lunch was fantastic. This is definitely a place to revisit."
