Our family of 4 had a great stay at Kootenay Wild! The room and property are exactly as shown in the pictures. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed playing pickleball and basketball at the property with an amazing view. Lots to check out in the area. We would love to come back, thanks for having us :) !

Excellent place to stay, Chelsie and Richard were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and places to eat at, visit and tour around. Beautiful area. We stayed at the west arm room and had the best view of the lake and magnificent flower beds. We will be back to stay again real soon

Amazingly beautiful place!! Lots of love & thought went into the property-from the access to the room, details in the room and the landscaping on the property!! First time to the area & so glad we picked this place! It’s a perfect landing spot to spent a day in Nelson and area OR head the other direction to the hot springs & quaint town of Kalso! And the ferry to experience the other side of the lake is right there in Balfour! Couldn’t have been better!

Let me start with the negatives: . . . Yep, there actually were none. This place is second to none. You will never get tired of the view out your front window. The owners are beyond friendly yet know how to give you space. The room could not be cleaner, is incredibly spacious, and outfitted beautifully. If you ever find yourself looking to spend the night in this area, count yourself blessed if you can get into this accommodation.

waking up to the mountains and lake each morning

We had an amazing stay in Nelson! The house was spotless, cozy, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The view was absolutely incredible — waking up to the mountains and lake each morning was unreal. It was peaceful, private, and just a short drive to town. We couldn’t have asked for a better spot — highly recommend and would definitely stay here again!

This property boasts breathtaking views of Kootenai Lake. The host was thoughtful and helpful giving us much needed information to make our stay perfect. The property is within 15 minutes to Ainsworth Hot Springs. Great amenities such as real cream for the coffee and quality assortments of shower products. We will definitely be back.

The home is beautiful with each suet having a view of Kootenai Lake. We enjoyed sitting on the little patio overlooking the mountains and the lake and breathing the fresh air. The suet was very well appointed with gorgeous floors, lighting, fireplace, luxurious bedding.

Lovely and Comfortable

Very comfortable and roomy. Lovely view. Only downside is about half an hour from Nelson and no restaurants closer than that. But thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
