Didn’t live up to expectations

Could see that this used to be great (when photos were taken) While it was was mostly clean, there was a lot that didn’t live up to the promise or what we paid for. Lots of stains too. The bed linen is specifically tired and needing replacement - in no ways can it be called premium. There was no Wi-Fi and no bathtub - also both mentioned in the property description for the superior cottage (Crane Cottage). Convenient for the hockey festival at Michaelhouse and beautiful views but can’t say too much more of a positive nature

The property needs some maintenance, however, it was clean and had everything we required. No wifi, toiletries or hairdryer. Fabulous views and quiet relaxing atmosphere. Close to main road.

Highly recommended and good value.

Stunningly beautiful grounds with private lake. Very accommodating and friendly hosts (Alex and staff). We were also served a delicious breakfast. Location ideal for Michaelhouse school and the Midlands Meander route. Highly recommended for a peaceful and refreshing getaway.

Perfect place for a winter break

Beacon Vlei is the perfect place to recover after a busy work schedule. Quiet and peaceful. Accommodation comfortable with electric blankets and heaters in each room as well as a fireplace in the living room. Close enough to access the main tourist attractions and try the local shops and businesses. A good trip.
