We sat on the balcony with light wraps and enjoyed the candle lit lanterns in the fading twilight; prepared breakfast in the well equipped kitchen; and relaxed in the living room on cozy couches. "A very well appointed and beautiful-house. Everything you need is there. A wardrobe with drawers would be helpful in the room with 2 queens as well as an additional bath room on the 3rd floor, even a powder room. And we mastered that extremely steep and narrow driveway. Overall very nice. We enjoyed our stay and recommend."

"What place to kick back and enjoy the sound of the river wisking by and the crackiling of the great fireplace. We had a group of nine (over 60 in age each) that has gone over 30+ yrs for once a year long weekend trips to Blue Ridge Smokies. This stop was a great place for out group. House was plenty big enough. The owner and property helpers we quick to fix a couple of issues when we arrived. But overall, the old house did us well once we got used to the little qwerks all houses seem to have....

"The cabin is a perfect couples getaway. We enjoyed the hot tub and the sounds of the creek right next to the cabin. It’s close enough to Asheville and hiking but not too close to be too touristy. The only thing I would mention is that the yard is not fully fenced in like it looks like on the pictures. I specifically had chosen that cabin for that because we were bringing our dogs. And we had some ants in the kitchen but I guess it comes with being out in nature."
