Upgraded Historic Home in Fell’s Point

Historic House in the heart of Fell’s Point with modern amenities. 1627 Aliceanna Street, is a rare eighteenth century wooden house, built in 1787 and once home to “The Academy” run by schoolmaster Nicholas Leeke. Your country cottage in the city, combining quaint charm with the best of urban living. Perhaps the oldest, and largest, surviving wooden house in Baltimore, this home was built in 1787 and completely restored with modern amenities in 2010. Once the home of Nicolas Leeke, a schoolmaster, and later of the famous privateer of the war of 1812, Captain Thomas Boyle, this house was awarded The Preserve America Steward Award, signed by Michelle Obama, in August 2010. Step through the front door of this charming, light filled home, and discover the historic entrance stair hall. The cozy living room features a 19th century decorative mirrored fireplace. The open kitchen and dining room floor plan adds a modern feel to this period home. The updated kitchen has marble counters and custom cabinetry. The first floor powder room is right off the kitchen. Step through the back door onto a landscaped brick patio with plenty of room to relax. The second floor primary bedroom includes a built-in dresser with marble top. A second floor full bath has a skylight and built-in storage under a marble counter. The laundry and a generous walk in closet are located in the center of the home. Spacious second bedroom furnished with antiques an adjacent little office space. This home is ideally located just steps from the Fell's Point waterfront with its many dining and entertainment options, and is within easy walking distance to Harbor East and the new flagship Whole Foods market. The new North Market food hall and South Market Choptank crab house are just around the corner, while the elegant new Pendry Hotel is three blocks away.

Beautiful historic home in Fells Point!
This beautiful period home is in the perfect location! The home was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed and then some. The host provided all the details needed and were quick to respond to any questions. They were so thoughtful and even left a birthday cake in the kitchen upon our arrival for my daughters birthday! After checking-out, we did not realize we had forgotten a camera battery pack until the host contacted us to let us know and to get our address to mail it to us. Staying here made our trip so enjoyable. We loved spending time in the courtyard, as well as walking around the neighborhood, which had plenty to offer! We will definitely book this home again!
