Good buffet breakfast from 6.30am-10.30am. Twin room on 20th floor was very comfortable. Location excellent for walking to Jim Thompson museum along the canal. Bangkok Arts and Cultural Centre ( BACC ) also easy walking distance or catch the skytrain which is close by - this was our daughters favourite spot! Pratunam markets are an easy 15 minutes walk. Plenty of dining options. We enjoyed Mo Mo DIning and Olè, both in walking distance from the hotel.

We had a mixed experience during our stay at AETAS Lumpini. Upon arrival, we missed being welcomed with a welcome drink, which would have added to the five-star experience. Unfortunately, the hotel did not have the fresh, luxurious scent expected from a five-star property. There was an old and stuffy smell in the lobby, corridors, and rooms. The furniture also appeared somewhat old and worn and the carpets were stained in several places. A fresh fragrance throughout the hotel would make a huge difference to the first impression. We booked two Premier Suites, which were very spacious at 70 m² and had a wonderful view and a beautiful jacuzzi. We loved the thoughtful detail of the rotating TV, allowing us to watch from both the bed and the jacuzzi, and it was great to have Netflix available. The free minibar was a lovely touch, and the complimentary cakes, drinks, and canapés in the lounge were delicious and a major plus. The pool was large and pleasantly deep, although the view was not very inspiring. We also missed a cozy smoking area where guests could sit comfortably and relax. A huge bonus was the late checkout until 16:00, as we did not have to go to the airport until late in the evening. This made our last day much more comfortable and enjoyable.
