"We arrived at 9am, the receptionist searched our booking and confirmed it was a family room for 3 (2 adults and 1 child), we left our bags and agreed to return at 3pm when we could have entry to our room. We returned at 3pm to collect our keys and we were greeted by Tara who was lovely and collected our bags, and headed for the room.
When we got there we only had 1 double bed. We tried to call the front desk but didn’t get an answer. So we all went back to reception with our luggage. We were greeted by a different receptionist, we explained that we had not been given a family room and that we had tried to phone down to let the reception know. The receptionist then said ‘well as you can see we are busy’ indicating to the people on the lobby. She then went on to say she would ring housekeeping to bring a put up bed to our room.
We waited for a further hour, and still no sign of a bed. This was now 4pm, we had been up for travelling since 2.30am and really wanted to get our 7 year old to nap before our evening plans. I also wanted to shower but didn’t want to do this until housekeeping had been.
My wife again went to reception, asked to speak to a manager who then eventually arranged for a bed to be brought to us, which it did. When bumping into the manager the next day, she informed us that the housekeeping team had taken so long as they had run out of linen. Even though the hotel had known at 9am that we had arrived and confirmed we were a family of 3. "
