The pub and restaurant are closed and lease advertised. No facilities available for food or drink. Room was very basic but the room itself was clean. Sorry could not recommend.

Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities
You arrrive, the door is locked, no lights on and, to top it all, a sign “TO LET”.
You have to bang the door hard for a guy upstairs to let you in.
Ridiculous!
Property locked on arrival, had to ring mobile for someone. No bar or restaurant, supposedly renovations ongoing throughout but absolutely no evidence of any work. Peeling paintwork, dirty walls, toilet seat not fixed on one side, bedside lampshades not fixed, base of hanging arm that served as a 'wardrobe' not secure on wall & arm itself missing a screw - couldn't trust with any real weight. Floor very uneven, so much so bed sloped from bottom to top & from side to side. Linen & water pressure were okay but we honestly wouldn't recommend this hotel, it is a horribly over-priced con

Disappointed
The room was clean and the bed comfortable. However, decor was tired and some of the fittings were in poor repair -,the toilet cistern leaked and the shower fell apart if you touched it. The floor was very uneven, even allowing for it being an old building , and sunk in the middle. We were disappointed to find that the inn itself was closed, which we were not aware of until we arrived , so no breakfast etc, as expected.
The major issue however came from outside - we were awakened on the hour every hour by the church bells opposite sounding all through the night and had very little sleep. Would definately not use this property again.

Disliked: Cleanliness, room comfort
No hot water
Cups and spoons dirty. Ring on cup, lumps? On spoon.
No hot water at 10pm not even warm.
Nowhere to hang clothes
Hard to access bed, 1ft on one side.
Friendly staff, quirky room. Window didn't open which was a bit of a hazard in my opinion. The towel rail in bathroom literally came off in my hand! much to our amusement.
But room was adequate for a one night stay. We stayed here to visit Blenheim Palace light trail.
Room was lovely; clean and modern, with the bonus of tea & coffee making facilities. The staff were very friendly and I checked in quite late which was convenient. Being a pub, I wasn’t expecting it to be completely quiet, but it was a lot nosier than I expected as there was very loud music and a dance floor. I had ear plugs with me so it was fine, but worth bearing in mind if travelling on a Saturday.
