Cozy Condo

Wonderful view and location near the top of Sugar Mountain

The place was very clean and well prepped by Vacasa. There were 3 key boxes which were a little confusing at first, but we got in the door soon enough after seeing the address on the 3rd key box we saw. The place is very spacious and ours included a fireplace. The view is very nice and my family that stopped by for an hour was very impressed as well. Parking is easy but some steps you have to go down so just know that upfront. Have to take your trash out but that's like most rentals in the area. You'll love this place! We will be coming back.

Just beautiful

The property is exactly as pictured. Every corner has a little surprise for you to discover. Very cozy, super clean. Very central to all the activities we wanted to do. Quiet relaxing neighborhood with beautiful views. The property is in a lower floor so you will have neighbors walking in your roof. We will stay here again.

Winter vacation

The biggest misconception about this property is that you have to walk down two flights of stairs to get there. My husband is disabled so as you can imagine this was a big surprise when we got there. The other issue that we had is that there is another unit above us and you could hear everything, like walking across the floor, moving a chair and when the washing machine was running. The location of this property was great since we took our kids to ski. The view was nice and we did enjoy the fireplace. If we would have rented the unit upstairs we would have been much happier.

Beautiful condo with great views

Condo was very clean, bed was comfortable, great views, very large balcony, fully equipped kitchen. Very nice condo. A little far from blowing rock but close to lots of hiking trails and grandfather mountain. Excellent coffee shop 1.2 miles away called Fred & Larry's coffee.

Great view, terrible bed and service

This place has a phenomenal view. But...the bed was sloped so much that we had to sleep with our head at the foot of the bed or our feet would be higher than our heads. Maintenance came out and confirmed that the mattress wasn’t any good. Said it could be replaced and he’d be in touch later that day or the next morning. We never heard back and proceeded to sleep on a slant for the entire stay. The shower had a ton of mildew in it. There was a shard of broken glass on the kitchen floor that I stepped on our first morning there. If you’d like to rent here, find another unit from another company. There are plenty available!

Unsurpassable view

This property is fabulous: it is spotless, comfortable, attractive, well maintained, and the location is unbeatable. The view from the porch is alone worth booking this home. Other reviewers mentioned noise from the above unit; no one was staying there so we did not have that issue. Our only issue was a lot of noise from the building next to us. The area is peaceful and gorgeous, and in being out around the community and the mountain, everyone was friendly and gracious. There was just one group of guests next door who were extremely loud as we tried to relax on the porch. So, just be aware that it's a possibility. Otherwise, you can spend hours on that porch enjoying the mountain view, seeing hummingbirds, and even a groundhog. My favorite things are the porch and the beautiful handmade rooster quilt! We will definitely be back here.

Awesome escape weekend

Two couples rented this unit for the weekend. It is exceptionally clean and well stocked. There is nothing you need to bring except your own food and drinks. There is plenty of space to relax and unwind. The view is wonderful and the area is very peaceful. There is definitely noise from the above unit, but fortunately they were not there very much. There isn’t much you can do about this. The location is great for hiking, tubing, shopping, and dining in so many different towns close by. We visited the Grandfather Winery and enjoyed the live music there. I recommend that if you’re interested.

Very Nice! And Views!

This condo is a nice size and is very well appointed. The furnishings are in immaculate condition with a Farm House Setting. The kitchen is well stocked, and all the linens are great quality. Sitting on the deck with those views is the best part. The only complaint is , the same as others, the neighbors upstairs were a nightmare with there stomping! Otherwise a great place to stay!

Great condo

Loved the condo. The view and the fireplace were favorites. Very comfortable and clean and perfect for our family of 4. The negative was the noise from the unit above. I saw this in another review before our visit. I don’t think that the people above us were particularly loud, but I think that a normal level of noise is just very clearly heard in the downstairs unit. From every footstep to music choices, etc. I found it loud and disruptive. Everything else about this condo was great.l and just as described.

Sugar Mountain condo with a long range view

The unit was clean and comfortable. The only issue we had was the early morning sound of the upstairs unit . We could hear every step they made.
