Birthday trip

The cabin was very clean and equipped with everything needed. The rooms were able to accommodate everyone on the trip. The Mountains view were beautiful. Thanks John for making our first trip to Carolina a great one.

Excellent stay!

My party of 10 from medical school had a wonderful time on our school ski trip. We enjoyed cooking some great meals in the well stocked kitchen, fantastic views and a clean hot tub. The care instruction for the hot tub were simple and kept the water crystal clear all weekend long. Thanks John and family for sharing your beautiful home with us!!

Great experience

Perfectly located property. Wildlife is amazing. The house was perfect with multiple rooms with king beds to accommodate adult couples. Everything was as advertised. Only hiccup was quite a bit of dirty utencils and cookware, but that is partly to blame on past guests. Would definitely recommend.

Great home for ski-trip with the family

Such a great trip! We and two other families stayed here during a recent ski-trip to Beech Mountain. The home was a super short drive from to/from the mountain. It fit all of us and our kids comfortably, and they loved having their own space downstairs. And speaking of comfort, everyone commented on how comfortable their beds were. The fireplace and hot-tub both worked great. And the views truly were spectacular!

Great Cabin with amazing views

Love the location and views from this cabin. Short drive to the city but far enough away to feel secluded and surrounded by nature. Loved watching the deer grazing all around the cabin. The house was very clean, spacious, and well appointed. We would definitely return again!

Wonderful stay

The home is lovely and offers everything a family could need. Soooo many things to do and see!! We had 6 adults and 3 children. House was perfect. The area/view is stunning. Our only suggestion!…..round plates The rectangular do not go in microwave. We would highly recommend to anyone! Loved the quiet and the gorgeous sunrises. Thank you so much!!!!

The home was clean and well appointed. The views were magnificent. One disappointment is that the home is three levels with only one zone for the HVAC system for the whole house. Hot air rises, so the family members who slept in the queen bed and bunkbeds on the bottom floor were cold given there is no thermostat on that level. (One other item - a quick fix - there is a nail protruding on the center of the step just above the landing on the ground level).

Great place!

There were 10 of us and there was plenty of room to eat, sleep and to relax together! What a wonderful place to celebrate Thanksgiving! We all enjoyed watching the MANY deer come and eat in the fields and on the hills around us. Some of us went up to Beech Mountain to sled and the rest of us shopped in Boone and visited Grandfather Mountain.

We had a wonderful time! The house is fantastic and the views are spectacular. The only complaint I have is that what is described as a "separate water closet" in the upstairs master suite does not offer any privacy if someone else is in the bathroom because the door to the "separate water closet" has been removed. The same is true of the bathroom on the main level.

Beautiful views and close to the slopes!

The pictures and description are great, but the actual house is even better. We rented the house for the weekend to hang out with another family and ski. There was plenty of room, the teenagers enjoyed hanging out in the basement while the younger kids played games and watched movies with the adults in the main living room. The first night, I messaged the host with a question about the hot tub and got an immediate response at 10:30pm, great service! Just about everyone in our party enjoyed the hot tub and the views at some point. Highly recommend, you will not be disappointed.

Just amazing Cabin!!

I am very pleased with this location, in Banner Elk, for our vacation. beautiful view facing Sugar and Grandfather mountain. The Cabin was very clean and comfortable. All the conveniences that are expected in a home are available. I want to thank Mr. John for sharing such a beautiful Cabin with us.
